Devcon Epoxy, 5 Minute Epoxy, 4-1/2 Ounce Bottles, 2 Bottles | GLU-720.90

This Two-part epoxy works well. To facilitate/ accelerate the reaction, I usually soak in warm water for 15 minutes. The 2 parts are then thinner, mix more readily, and release bubbles more quickly.

5 minute epoxy. Cures in 5 minutes. Can't ask for more than that. Great value for the price.

I bought a box of this epoxy in the same size several years ago and finally began to run out of the material. I use it in my woodturning to fill small holes, stabilize loose knots and various other tasks. I mix equal amounts on to a piece of cardboard and mix the two parts. The mixture remains liquid for a relatively short time before it begins to jell, allowing me a good amount of working time. When it hardens it is solid. I like it and, heck, if I can use it over 5 or more years, the shelf life is pretty good. Reasonable price and great performance.

Bought this to refill my stock after using up the last of what I had on hand. It's obvious been sitting on a shelf way too long. The hardener appeared ok, but the resin was thick and partly crystallized. I figured I'd try my luck and try it anyway. Nope, never fully hardened and I had to make the piece again... Unfortunately the return period is expired so I'll jut have to eat this one.

It’s definitely a race to the finish line with this stuff. Use in small quantities as you won’t have time to mix more than an ounce or so and get it all mixed properly before it sets up. It does what it’s supposed to and works well. The application I was testing it for didn’t make it the best product for my purpose. I’ll keep it and use it when I need this type of epoxy. I’m needing to find smthn that hardens in more like an hr. Totally worth the cost of the product to give this a try. The hunt for the perfect epoxy for me will continue.

I much prefer this over superglue and the larger bottles are easy to deal with and handle. They don't tend to drip or make a mess. So far, the product hasn't frozen up due to increasing amounts of air present in the bottles once you start using it. The caps are actually very air tight. I tend to squeeze out the air anyway and snap the caps back on. I have used this in places where you would use superglue and I haven't had anything fail yet. The only things this doesn't tend to work well with, is on smooth rubber or very smooth surfaces that will flex with use. This is the case with a lot of adhesives and paints though, and so roughing up the surface a bit will give you better results. The five minute work time is very accurate and it can sneak up on you quickly, so don't mix too much at once for large projects.

Hands down superior to any other 2-part system I bought over the past 62 years. Easy to set equal amounts down for mixing. I use a long cotton tipped gun cleaning stick to mix and apply. First use was a hard rubber to hard plastic repair. It is rock solid. Good idea to let it cure though...I let it sit for 2 hours. Take care cutting the tip off the tubes...one of them had a hole in the paper seal so a bit bubbled to the top when I cut the tip. No problem though, I set the tube upright and the bubble settled back. E.g., I didn't panic or try reverse osmosis by hand. :-) I let gravity do what it was invented to do. This stuff is a real bargain at the price...a lot for your money.

A lot cheaper to buy in bulk. The 2 bottles are colour-coded and easy to use. Highly recommend.
