This is all you need for great cubes, home or professional bar
First review on here, and that is because I am just so blown away by this product. I run a cocktail bar, and though I wish we had the space and resources for a cline bell system, we just don't. I have not been blown away by 2" cubes made from molds - they are fine for home but not in a commercial setting imo. I have tried many methods over the years and most are either too time or space consuming. But when I went into a local restaurant and ordered a cocktail, I was amazed by the 2" cube in the glass. I asked the manager how the heck he managed to pull this off - it was clearly not from a mold, no pun intended, and I was curious if there was someone distributing cline bell cut ice in the area. He showed me the Clearly Frozen tray and I couldn't believe it. It seemed too good to be true. There are many products on the market that claim to make quality cubes, but it's mostly marketing, so I was suspicious. But I did the due diligence and read about the product. When I saw an endorsement from Camper English, I felt very excited. I ordered my Clearly Frozen tray on a Monday, and by Wednesday I had beautiful, clear, and perfectly square 2" cubes. It is very easy to use if you follow the instructions carefully. I had a question about storage and their customer service was quick and helpful. This product is fantastic. Whether you are a home bartender or a professional, it will give you what you need. The dilution rates are what you would expect in a professional environment and everything about the design is well thought out. I am going to order more to ramp up my production and I can not wait for their collins spears to be available. If this seems over the top, consider that for a great cocktail there is nothing more important than water and ice. This will take your cocktails to the next level both aesthetically and functionally. One hack I will share is that to store the cubes after you make them, they fit perfectly in a cardboard 6 pack sleeve from Q (separate shout out but Q makes the best tonics and mixers on the market) and cut the sleeves down to 2" height and then they are stackable. If you are making this for a bar, you will obviously need a freezer, but if you are serious about ice you probably already have one.

Works great!
I bought this ice mold because I was looking to make clear ice. It has good reviews and the price was good compared to the competition. I liked this ice mold because it was more compact than others and seemed easier to use. The product makes nice, clear ice cubes as it is supposed to do. I like it so much that after buying the mold for the 2 inch cubed ice I ordered from the manufacturer's web site the silicone mold for the smaller ice cubes. That mold works equally as well. I make several batches of ice and store them in the freezer until I need to make more. These ice cubes melt slower than normal freezer ice and look way better. My wife loves the clear ice too and uses the smaller cubes in her other cocktails. The owner is very responsive to questions and wrote to me directly. I definitely recommend this clear ice mold.

PHENOMENAL and simple, well-made product! Highly recommended :)
I freaking love this product. I cannot say enough about how cool and easy it is. The makers of this product know what they're doing. They were so smart to keep this so simple. I've had this product for a while now and it's simple and easy and also easy to clean. I use it to build up a small stockpile of crystal clear ice for during the week. It's looks likes glass and makes my cocktails look beautiful (and impresses everyone) and avoids drinks looking gross with crappy ice. I loved it so much I went to the company's website and bought more trays for their "spears" and the smaller cubes. Such a fantastic product. Very durable. The first time you use it you will see you have to separate the tray from the bottom block of ice. I usually will trickle cold water over the seal between the tray and the ice at the bottom. It helps to separate them when the ice is made. If not that, I also sometimes take a small bartenders ice cracker and tap around the seal between the tray and ice block to help remove the tray. You can buy one cheap for under 10 bucks. I got my from Barillo on Amazon. But you can do it without that. I would recommend not having the ice made over more than about 15 hours or so. If the bottom part gets too frozen solid it can be a little bit more difficult to separate. When this happened to me, I was worried that the molds would rip as I tried to separate them, but they didn't. They molds are obviously well made and durable. I really could not be more happy with this product. Ha, some friends who came over have bought it and they love it. I cannot recommend this more highly. Totally changed my home bar! Highly recommended and phenomenal product and super cheap for the endless clean ice you get. :)

Works greatโฆgot clear ice now!
This is a wonderful ice kit and it is very easy to use. I got great clear ice the first time. Also, the customer service is fantastic. I requested an additional storage bag for the ice and they sent two more at no charge. Thank you, and I look forward to enjoying more clear ice!

Makes decent clear ice but involves some labor
Ice clarity 8/10: the ice is pretty clear but you can still see some bubbles and thereโs some irregularity to the shape. But once in a glass with a drink, itโs hard to see the imperfections and it looks very nice. Ease of use 7/10: Their is a little bit of a learning curve to get the ice cubes out and it requires a lot of patience at first. This method of ice making will create a block of โwaste iceโ about 1.5โ thick that is stuck underneath the silicone ice tray. You have to get this off somehow. I use a kitchen hammer and some hot water. If you want the convenience of just popping ice out of a trayโ this might not be for you. The Dexas Iceology tray is much easier to use but it only makes two cubes at a time. Durability ?/10: This remains to be seen. There is an inner plastic liner that I could foresee probably cracking in time. And getting the ice out requires some manhandling of the silicone tray which could potentially tear at some point. We shall seeโฆ

THIS IS THE ONE!!!!
I love cocktails, Old Fashioneds, Boulevardiers, and Negronis in particular. In my opinion, those and other cocktails are best with the right kind of ice--a single, large, crystal clear ice cube or ball. These kinds of ice cubes have become popular because the ice has no air in it, so it will melt slower, keeping a drink properly chilled, but without quickly melting and diluting a fine sipping cocktail. I wanted to have this kind of ice for cocktails at home. I did a lot of reading about how to make it, and what kind of molds work best. Most of the reviews I read pointed to the Clearly Frozen ice cube maker. I purchased one here on Amazon, and have made four batches of ice with it. Each and every time, the result has been perfectly clear cubes!!! The set consists of a silicone tray that the ice is formed in, along with a larger translucent plastic tray that the silicone tray rests in. In turn, the large plastic tray rests in an open-cell foam box. DO NOT throw the foam box away! It is an integral part of the ice making process, it is not packing material! You set the plastic tray in the foam box, fill it about halfway to the top with water, then set the silicone tray on top. Then, top up the silicone tray with water. There are two fill line markings in the silicone tray. I find that for best results and cube shape, fill the silicone tray to within about 3/16" to 1/4" below the top line. If you fill it all the way to the top fill line, you get a cube that's more rectangular than square. There are holes in the bottom of each of the compartments of the silicone tray to equalize the level of water in the tray. Once filled with water, set it in your freezer. I find I need to keep the tray in the freezer for at least twenty hours in order for the freezing process to fully complete. Twenty-two to Twenty-four hours is about optimum. The holes in the bottom of the silicone tray also facilitates the clarifying process that causes the ice to freeze clear. As the water freezes, air in the water is forced downward, out the holes, into the larger plastic tray. You do NOT have to use distilled water to get clear ice. Plain tap water works perfectly fine. Once the ice is frozen, run warm water over the outside of the plastic box. This will help to loosen it from the silicone ice tray. When the tray comes out, it will also be attached to a large block of ice that was in the plastic box. I knock around the block with the handle of a butter knife to loosen it from the silicone tray. After you've played with it a few times, you'll figure out what works best for getting it loose. It really is easy to do! When you get the silicone tray loose, just bend and twist on it a bit to loosen the ice from the molds. I find that a plain set of metal salad tongs, used carefully, works great for extracting the cubes from the mold. I put them in a large ziploc bag and store them in the freezer for my favorite libations. This ice maker is a bit large, 12"L x 6"W x 6"H, so you may need to clear some space in your freezer to accommodate it. But, it makes ten large cubes at a time, as opposed to a lot of other units that make only one, two, or four cubes. One or two batches, and you'll have enough ice for just about any gathering you might have. It comes with instructions on how to make the ice, which I've pretty much described here. At the time I purchased this on Amazon, the price was $39.99. Definitely not cheap, but it works EXACTLY like it should, and after a few times making ice, I think most folks will feel that it's money well spent. ***THIS IS THE ONE TO GET!!!!!***

Finally, a practical solution!
Iโve tried countless clear ice methods that are always too bulky, donโt fit well in my freezer, low capacity (one to 4 cubes), and frankly just a pain in the rear. I stumbled on this particular tray 4 years ago that yields 8 cubes through a simple process and decided to give it a shot. Boy am I glad I did! Itโs a very basic design - a foam insulation outer shell, a plastic bin that fits snugly inside of it, and a rubber mold with holes that allow water to go through to the bin. Itโs the same concept as the cooler method, but you donโt have to chisel the pieces out nor remove the cloudy bottom. Admittedly Iโm not the most patient person nor am I the person that will plan my day around ice cube making. The instructions provide optimal timeframes to make removal of the mold and ice easiest, but I often find myself forgetting about it or just being too lazy to address. Iโve discovered a couple of tricks to mitigate this. If it does freeze completely over you can run some cool water under the lip of the mold to create separation from the bin where itโll eventually slide out as an ice block. From there you simply run the large block on the bottom under hot water until you can break pieces off. Then push the cubes out as you normally would. The biggest risk behind this is clumsinessโฆ Sadly, a few months ago my brother in law decided to try this process after weโd gone through a tray and a my reserves paired with some brown tater water. Instead of sliding the ice block out of the bin he managed to get the bin out of the foam and immediately dropped it in my sink causing the bin to crack. Before buying another one I saw the ClearlyFrozen logo and looked them up. I emailed to see if I could purchase a spare bin rather than buying the whole thing again. I received a response from Jim very quickly asking for my address where he graciously shipped me another one within a week and refused to let me pay for it. Because of that I went and bought another one on the spot as a backup. Over the years Iโve recommended these to friends, family, and random people at bars/restaurants. Iโve even gifted a few. This is an easy and inexpensive present that will bring joy and class to your โon the rocksโ experiences for years to come. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants beautiful, clear ice for their drinks or even something that lasts a crazy amount of time in a Stanley cup (my wife uses them regularly). One thing to note: I did accidentally buy one that isnโt made by this company once. The others are NOT the same quality. Theyโre comparably priced as well. Trust me, this is the one to buy.

Transparent Ice for your Drinks
Fantastic item. The ice is crystal clear and looks great in my drinks. The freezing process also removes many contaminants from the water so they don't impact the flavor of the spirits. Perfect for drinks on the rocks.

Bit of a learning curve, but a great product
It takes a while to get the process right, but once you do it produces consistent, pretty clear cubes. They aren't perfectly clear, but much better than normal. For me, I found it needs 19 hours in the freezer (+/- 1 hour). You don't want to under or over freeze or your results will suffer. When I got it, I started off partially pre-filling the plastic liner, dropping in the blue mold and finish filling the blue mold. I eventually got tired of it you have to keep checking the level and topping up the individual cubes until it was right. Too fiddly for me. I've found that filling the liner to about 1/4" from the top, then dropping in the mold works best. Once I got this figured out, it all became a piece of cake. I like watching it sink & fill up to the perfect level. It actually doesnโt take long to sink and it makes the process very simple. I don't seem to be getting the "tall" cubes any more, the cubes are frozen through and haven't had a chance for much air to make them less clear. I'm happy with it and Jim, the owner of the business, really seems to care about his product and customers.

Excellent product
Excellent product that does produce crystal clear large ice cubes. At 2โ, these cubes are large, so I have also bought the smaller 1.3โ set as well. It does take a few attempts to judge how long one's freezer will take to freeze the block to the bottom so persevere until you get it right!

Clear ice
Works like a magic. Just use normal tap water, for freezing, the mould actually takes a good 20-24 hrs. But overall the process us very easy & satisfying. Can even control the size of cubes, instead of 2x2โ by adjusting water level, can produce a bit smaller cubes as well.

At last...clear ice!
As a guy who not only likes to drink a nice Negroni, Old Fashioned or Sazerac but also enjoys an appealing presentation of these drinks I needed - yes, NEEDED - large clear ice cubes. I purchased and used a similar product before but the results were never as perfect as they were supposed to be. Living in Germany is nice but as a Cocktail gadget lover you sometimes struggle. So after many tests with my former ice cube tray the results were okayish but the left a bit to be desired. That's why I ordered the Clearly Frozen tray. I am still trying to find the right timing for the best results. As you can see in the pictures the cubes of my first attempt were not complete. But they were very clear, no inclusion, no air bubbles, as it should be. I use filtered water and my freezer is set to -16ยฐC. As mentioned before I am still checking out the sweet spot but the results so far are much better than with the other tray I used before. The Negroni on the third pic contains a complete crystal clear ice cube. Yes, I'm an ice nerd and I love it!
