The blade is small!! Not sure why

This is a very simple tool that can help remove stubborn algae from the glass of your aquarium. It can be extended to a nice length to reach down into a 60 gallon tank or can be scaled down to a shorter length if you have a smaller tank. There is a pack of double edge blades which are included. When one side becomes dull, you can turn the blade around to get twice the use out of 1 blade. The blades are very thin but are effective when used properly. The tool should be turned in the direction that is shown in my picture. It must be held at an angle to prevent the shrieking sound although that sound does not seem yo do any damage. If held at the correct angle, to tool works more effectively. The tool has a little weight and seems durable but do not put extreme pressure on those thin blades. If you happen to have an end cover from an old disposable razor, you might see if it would fit the end of this for storage as the blade is exposed and is quite sharp. This item is made of metal and is nicely priced. I recommend this scraper for all glass aquariums but stay away from the silicone sealer corners with this tool.

It works ! I have algae that NONE of my algae eaters have been able to clean. Tank looks ugly and I need it gone. I did not want to buy but SUPER happy I did. I have a 55gal and it reaches to the bottom and on the other side. Will take awhile to clean all the walls. My arms burn. Comes w. Blades and easy to put together. Love it

Love this thing! Didnt expect to be very good for price but I would recommend. Very long handle. Multiple blades although I havent had to change yet and I use frequently with my 6 aquariums. Its not like razor sharp, but does the job. Heavy sturdy handle.

My first impression was the algae scraper seems to be well made. For me the razor blade was a little difficult to put in. With it being a double edge razor blade I was afraid to cut myself. Once during the cleaning of my tank the blade moved in so it wouldn’t work. I took it out of the water, unscrewed the screws and tried to move the razor blade back into place. I wish it had a safety cover, that is why I deducted 1 star. I have to admit it cleans very well! My tank is always very clean, this scraper just cleans the glass extra good 🙌 I noticed after using it, it seemed like the handle loosened at the points that it screwed in. If it continues I will add some super glue to keep it from loosening again. Overall a good product! A safety cover for the end would be great!

I have looking for a scraper for a long time. I wanted one that was sturdy, made out of stainless steel, and works great. This scraper covers all the bases. It turned my 20 gal saltwater aquarium from algae ridden to beautiful in an instant. Super easy to assemble. Hand tightened screws and a very sharp and useful blade. Love the adjustability on this handle. Very sturdy and handle is very nice. I have been looking for a scraper that doesn’t rust, especially the blade. So far it seems very hood and no rust. But even if there is rust on the blade, there are about half a dozen replacement blades inside the package. Easy to open packaging and was able to assemble the whole thing in a matter of seconds. I imagine this could be good on freshwater tanks as well. Overall… LOVE THIS!!!!
