I purchased these gloves so I could safely handle one of my pet rats while he is recovering from neutering related to hormonal aggression. I intentionally ordered one size smaller than recommended to ensure a snug fit, allowing me to properly hold and support the furry little rhoid raging barracuda. The sizing chart suggested XL, but I chose L. My hand measures 9.25 inches around the palm and 7.25 inches from the tip of my middle finger to the wrist crease. It was somewhat tight getting my hand through the wrist opening and fully seated into the glove, However, once on, the fit was very secure and form fitting, with no excess leather bunching or floating away from my skin. To test them, I picked up my grumpy rat. He tolerated being examined and petted for a short time. When he decided he had endured enough, he turned his head with impressive dramatic timing and delivered what I interpret as a “YEET” bite to my thumb. In fairness, this may have been a restrained warning bite compared to prior incidents. He did not break the skin. The glove absorbed the bite without issue but the leather was definitely punctured. Keep in mind however, that rat teeth are scalpel sharp. That said, I would not rely on these gloves for extended handling of aggressive animals such as rattlesnakes, raccoons, squirrels, honey badgers, black rhinos, or teething toddlers. For typical gardening and yard work, however, they are well suited. They strike an excellent balance between thickness for protection and flexibility, allowing you to grip tools securely without feeling as though your hands have been encased in rigid armor. Can’t comment yet on their longevity, but at $10. , you can always buy a backup pair for replacements and formal dining.

Excellent gloves and outstanding value! Very soft leather (feels as soft as goat leather, but it's cow leather), great fit (I purchased L and XL and they fit as expected), quality stitching. I am looking forward to using these in the garden. By far, the best gloves I've ever purchased, especially for the price.

I couldnt find a leather work glove locally in anything smaller than a medium, which was way too big for me. I ordered a size small in another brand, I returned them because although the palm fit fine, the fingers were almost an inch too long. I found this brand had an extra small size. The fingertips are still a little too long, but better. I kept them because I'm doing a big job in my yard using bricks and wore through my gardening gloves in two days. They are holding up well and saved my hands. The extra material at the fingertips makes it difficult to wear them them for anything that requires finesse, but for rough jobs, they are great.

Very comfortable the XL fits me great, good quality and good protection

Love these gloves. Butter soft and have held up amazingly well through gardening, yard work, and now shoveling snow. Solid dexterity making working different jobs easy. These should last me several years. Also, the thickness provides decent protection from thorns and the like which makes these a slam dunk.

Nice gloves. They protected my hands from the briars and fit nicely.
