Solid Performance Superb Company
Its been about two years since I purchased my Beatbot AquaSense, so I wanted to leave a review of my experiences thus far and how it's performed with my 40,000 gallon pool. I live on 2 acres and have large Redwoods in near proximity to my pool. My pool is also surrounded by over an acre of green grass along with plenty of nectar producing vine type plants like jasmine. The mature landscaping looks beautiful however, every time the winds kick up here in central California, it seems like a bit of each inevitably ends up in my pool. The problem having this type of landscape around the pool is that if not picked up right away, the organics decompose and ugly staining on the pool plaster occurs rather quickly. These organics increase chlorine demand and increase cloudiness, not to mention algae growth and filter clogging. Water filtration and water quality for a pool is the difference between using it or not, so I decided to install a Pentair 60 sqft DE filter about 5 years ago. Let me tell ya, the water quality difference and overall "shine" of the water is night and day compared to paper filters. So the water was drastically improved but the underlying condition of the environment was still very much unresolved. After spending about 30 days or so researching various pool cleaners, I decided to go with the Beatbot pool intelligence system and am very glad I did. I made this purchase because Beatbot is SMART in comparison to the other "DUMB" units, which operate without any thought process. The difference between both technologies is staggering, my Beatbot maps every inch of my pool every time I place it in the water and when it's done, the result is WOW! My Beatbot scrubs the walls, the tiles at waterline, sweeps up all debris on the floor and then as if it's not enough, skims my water on top to grab the floaters, all through a very small micron filter, which contributes substantially to that overall "shine" that my water has! My Beatbot has been a solid performer day or night, rain or shine, it delivers consistent results every time and saves my back from breaking from pushing around a large awkward brush! About 4 weeks ago, the unit would start but became unresponsive, which was odd. It has never done that before, so I reached out to Beatbot customer service and informed them of the new recent behavior and right away, they said to send it to them and they provided me with an RMA shipping label without hesitation and repaired. Their customer service has been remarkable, they provided me with elite, 5-star level treatment and made my entire experience very pleasant. Here's one for ya, after they sent me the RMA label, I became ill and I didn't get a chance to send in yet, well...they followed up with me, they called me, they emailed me and were so proactive to help resolve my issue! I'm 53 years young and experiencing this level of customer care felt as if I was being pampered! This company truly cares folks and they have been just outstanding to work with. I can honestly say that they have earned my business and my loyalty and my unequivocal trust. This company is first class and it's apparent in the superb high quality product they produce as well. If any of you are on the fence about this technology and or this product, don't be, rest assured they have got your back and their product does all the heavy lifting so you don't have too anymore! Thank you Beatbot!!! My pool and family LOVE YOU!

This thing is awesome
We have a large-ish pool, and it does a really good job across all the surfaces. I love that it handles the floor, walls, and waterline rather than just doing one bit and leaving you to deal with the rest. It saves a lot of time and effort, and honestly it’s one of those things that makes you wonder why you didn’t buy one sooner. I did have an issue with it about six months in, which was obviously a bit annoying, but the company replaced it without any hassle at all. That actually made me feel better about the purchase, because things can go wrong with any product, but how the company handles it matters. When it’s working, it does a brilliant job. It feels well made, it’s easy to use, and it keeps the pool looking much better with a lot less effort from me. So yes, I had a problem, but the customer service was excellent and the replacement has been great. I’d still happily recommend it.

Better than the Polaris VRX IQ+ but not much
Man this thing is expensive; and only kind of works. Pros: -Wireless, no umbilical cord to get dogs caught up in. I almost lost my first dog to my Dolphin. I was so lucky, was in the bathroom, Trapper wanted to go for a swim, got tangled up in the cord, and was going under by the time I opened the back door by my bathroom. THANK GOD THIS HOUSE HAS ONLY 100 doors on the outside. Meaning the trip to the backyard was less than 30ft to the master bathroom. This house is beautifully weird. LOL. Jumped in, didn't have to do much untangling, pulled him up, resuscitated him, and then took him to the vet. LUCKILY was able to get to him in time. He was probably under for less than 20 seconds. -Battery lasts at least 2 FULL CYCLES for my pool. That is ground, walls and full surface. I don't have a small pool either, it's 20x40. -like that this is not 100% APP controlled since that thing almost never works. There are PHYSICAL buttons, which I've heard some POOL BOTS use capacitive buttons, why? -The 10 times I have run it since buying, it has surfaced each time, which is super nice, just sometimes have to ferry it to the edge to grab it. -When I watch it, I can't deny it does seem WAY MORE INTELLIGENT and less wasteful than my $1600 now broken due to thunder storm, Polaris VRX bot. Like it does a proper serpentine pattern, it's not random at all. It's actually quite enjoyable to watch. Cons: -Doesn't do as good of a job as it should, can't handle the corners of my pool which are beveled at a 45 degree angle, so it's not even a sharp 90 degree angle giving it an excuse to fail. And at the bottom, the 45 degree bevel is about 18in wide which is bigger than the bot. I watched it go over two leaves without picking them up. -manually controlling this thing is confusing and not the most intuitive and seems to take a minute to "THINK" about doing the task you punched in. Then takes like a minute to reach the bottom (8ft in my case) then another minute to start the routine. It's annoying a lot of waiting. To the point you think its broken. -APP/Connectivity, App itself is OVERLY STRIPPED DOWN, but intuitive, it can't connect to wifi for the life of it. I have a super expensive, like $500 router that has like a 1,000ft range, I mean I bought the best router at the time, and it's WIFI 6E. This device never wants to connect to it. Even though in worst case scenario it's about 100ft from the router. This uses 2.5Ghz which is made for DISTANCE and WALL PENETRATION, but not speed. So... don't know why it can't connect or why, when I'm outside by it, literally 10ft from it, it can't just use BT to communicate with my phone, since it has a registered BT device in my settings. SO... WEIRD. It gets so bad that I stop bothering to use the app. -Only ONE CUSTOM ROUTINE allowed. That's annoying. Setting up the custom routine is annoying as well. -Wished this had a "SKIMMER MODE" shortcut, since more times than not, I need skimmer mode rather than say floor mode. Conclusion: After two burns Dolphin and Polaris, I'm HYPER CRITICAL of these machines, but I'll be darned if I'm vacuuming the pool that size by wand. SO, don't love it, don't hate it, knew it was a mistake going with "CONNECTED" devices since they rarely stay "CONNECTED", but luckily there are buttons. Just wished this thing was faster to execute programs than it is. Also, it ran into me while I was in the pool. What's up with that? All the supposed sensors on this thing and it ran into me? HMM... I'm a pretty large object. So, very middle of the road grade for me. THOUGH, I do love that this does have a clarify feature, that you can buy chem pods for it and it can clear up your pool that way. SO far, it leads the pack of the three brands I tested. Update: Company contacted me and walked me through the issues I was having. While the original issues did exist, a recent update added a new mode that addressed a lot of issues, called "MULTI-ZONE". While it doesn't fix all issues, it greatly improves the function of this product and works better for my beveled corner pool and actually now does the stairs. It is nice to see a company constantly improve a product through the app, and really helps ease the pain of paying $1800 for this. SOMETHING POLARIS REFUSED TO DO and I didn't do with Dolphin. Which is very commendable.

Honest Review After First Use
UPDATE: It’s the miracle I was hoping for. My pool Has never been cleaner. I love it! I’ve had it for around a week and as long as this thing lasts for a little while it’s worth every penny. For the cost I was expecting a miracle and it’s not quite that but it’s pretty good. I just received my Beatbot and gave it a try. Here is a full day one review . The Beatbot was very easy to setup and there is zero assembly required other than snapping two legs onto the charging station. I was able to download the Beatbot app and connect to the device quickly. It didn’t come fully charged so I let it charge for a few hours to get to 100%. Once charged I went out to drop it in the pool and see what it could do. The beat it comes with a few different modes depending on what you want it to do. You can just clean the bottom, the sides or the surface or some combination of those. I chose Pro which included all three options (floor, sides, surface). A few disclaimers, I have a large pool (about 55k gallons) with several ledges and shelves and sloped corners on the walls (not hard 90 degree corners from bottom to side wall). I’m coming from a second Polaris pressure-side cleaner that’s been doing a terrible job. I have a low bar for improvement to be happy. When the Beatbot hit the water it immediately started moving and took itself to the bottom of the pool - great start! However, when it hit the floor it just sort of sat there for a while and then started moving in a circle. That lasted maybe a minutes or two and then it started to move in a straight line. As it hit my walls it was a little confused which I read later is normal. If you have sloped corners the Beatbot will not move in a normal pattern, instead it will go into something called deep discovery where it sort of just moves along the floor in random patterns. With that being said, it did a good job on the parts of the floor where it scrubbed. In all, it probably cleaned 60-70% of the floor surface before moving on the the walls. It seemed to struggle a bit figuring out my pool walls. It would climb a wall and pause for several seconds before dropping back to the floor and trying again, often cleaning the same section of wall. It went through its cycle and probably only cleaned about 35% of the wall surface area. The surface area cleaning went well although it seemed to just push a lot of the debris around versus sucking it up but it did help push things around and get them into the skimmers. At the end the Beatbot docked itself right along the side and was easy to pull out. I was surprised at how much dirt it had collected in the basket as I keep my pool clean. It definitely did work! I sat the Beatbot on the charger and checked the app to see what reports it produces. It said it failed to create a report because it had run out of battery before completing its cycle. The app is very buggy and often requires hard closing and reopening to refresh the data (like battery life). In the end, even though I didn’t get a miracle machine, I think it will do a much better job than my previous pressure side cleaner did. I plan to try it in single cycles (floor only, side only, etc) to see if it can get more of the area done in one cycle. Not a huge sample size but I say it’s probably worth the money.

WOULD NOT PURCHASE
We have had some type of automatic pool sweeper for over 15 years. Our last unit was a Dolphin and it performed well for 7+ years. We needed to replace it and ordered the Beatbot AquaSense Pro Pool Robot. Fullfillment was not from Amazon. It came from Beatbot. The unit was poorly packaged and when we opened the box, the entire top of the cleaner was broken and crushed. There was no option to replace with Amazon, only return for credit. Unlike normal Amazon purchases, our account was not credited when we returned the unit. They said we had to allow two weeks once it had been returned for a credit. We shipped it 3 weeks ago, and it was received by Beatbot two weeks ago. Still not refund from Amazon. We are not sure if the problem is with Beatbot or Amazon, all we know is our tired and true Amazon has not come through for us so far. This may be a great cleaner, however, I would use caution when ordering and be preapred for a long wait for resolution if you too have problems. We ordered it from Amazon in the beginning vs. direct from Beatbot so we would not have any issues if something was wrong. Well that didn't turn out so well for us.

Out of the box problem--update--3RD UPDATE
I finally purchased the AquaSense Pro after months of deliberation. The item was packed well and easy to assemble. I had difficulty connecting to wifi and getting the flashing blue bar to reappear. I attempted a factory reset. Still unable to power on. I contacted customer service and was told they would be having a tech send me directions via email. I called back today and here is the rest of the story per customer service: 1. The company is based in Texas. 2. The customer service is directed to China. 3. You are unable to talk to a tech person because "they cannot speak English", and "never will". "always will be email." So if you are thinking about spending $2,000.00 for a pool cleaner, don't you think you should have a tech on staff that can speak the common language? No, at this time I will not recommend and I'm glad I saved all my shipping material. UPDATE: 6/10/2024. I did receive contact back from customer service. This machine does not configure to your 5G wireless device. You must change the router / call the phone/ internet provider so that it will run on 2.4. It was then easy to get to connect to wi fi. Following the directions to power up and choose cleaning mode and to place on level surface for approximately 5 seconds for calibration. I then slowly placed the device into the pool, shallow end. Instructions say to wait patiently, so after 15 minutes I went into the pool, let the water drain, placed onto the side and it started making a noise and wheels started turning. I placed back into the pool and it moved along the bottom. Now, I have an hourglass pool so it did not follow the linear up and back mode, but it sure was nice to see it in motion. Will update more on the progress of the cleaner and hopefully will be able to give it another star. I still saved all the packing material just in case. 3RD UPDATE: 1. Setting up the docking station is done in 15 seconds. Very easy done. 2. Using 2.4 wi-fi (NOT 5G), the set up is done in 2-3 minutes. Prompts easily done. 3. The unit is 12 pounds to carry, so I use a rolling cart from the edge of my patio where the unit is charged to the edge of the pool. Let the unit sit level for 5-10 seconds to calibrate. 4. The unit is easy 1 touch to choose the cleaning cycle. 5. My pool is approximately 16K gallon free form (hour glass style) and takes 3 hours to clean all 4 cycles. The app shows the date and time that the bot is operational. 6. The filter baskets are easy to pull apart and clean after each use. 7. I am 66 yo female with arthritis and parkinsons. It was getting very exhaustive for me to maintain my pool with the scrub brush, connecting the vacuum hose and head. So far I have only scrubbed the pool steps. 8. Despite being told that I would never be able to speak to a technician personally during my initial call to the company, I will share that I have received several emails from the company to offer troubleshooting advise wanting me to be pleased with my purchase. They issued a work order on my call to them and were proactive on trying to resolve the issue that I had. I feel that in the future during my 4 year warranty, I am confident that they will work with me if I need the help. It will not be instant, but within 12 hours. 9. If there is no other updates posted, the unit is working as described and I am happy with my bot.

Actually works
***Update*** Still 5 stars. I ran this robot through winter to keep the debris out of my uncovered pool. I used a skimmer net to also get large debris out but this robot did the bulk of the work. I even ran it when there was ice on the top of the water. When spring cam and it was time to open the pool it was really easy and clean. This is the first year I didn’t have to clean the filter after opening. Had an older dolphin model with a cord. It did a great job but would get full quickly and finally died. If you didn’t empty the filters right away they would liquify and empty out when you pulled it out of the pool. I thought I’d spend big bucks and go for this “all-in-on” pool cleaner. I have a kidney shaped variable depth pool, 25k gallon, so I expected it not to work well. The first week I was disappointed, but kept using the thing. After about a week I feel like it “learned” my pool or finally got “broken in”. It dramatically changed and was really keeping the pool clean. Yeah it didn’t get every leaf on the pool bottom, but it got 90% of them futon the heavy fall months of sept and Oct. I used it in Ohio during September and October when there was heavy leaf dropping. My skimmer baskets took care of the surface leaves and I used this cleaner primarily on the bottom mode to do the dirty work of debris that fell and was breaking down. I have not used the wall cleaning or skimmer mode much but plan on using these next year during routine maintenance. The best thing is that when its battery is dead it floats and comes to the edge and waits for you to pull it out. Unless it is windy it will stay there even with a dead battery until you come get it. Also has a large basket that collects leaves and silt. Very easy to clean. There is even a magnet that lets the unit know that the basket has been removed that incidentally doubles as a metallic debris collector— I always find a pile of iron powder collections there when I empty the basket. We cannot cover our pool in the winter when it is closed due to the location and shape, so I plan to use this cleaner through the winter when the water is not frozen to keep the bottom clean. Each year when we open it takes a few weeks of daily work to get all the debris out, so I’m hoping this cleaner will keep it clean during the winter. So far my pool is clean and the leaves have fallen… more to come and I’ll update in the spring when we open. It’s definitely the most expensive unit out there but I feel like it does a better job than my old corded Dolphin cleaner and is easier to use.

Great Robotic Cleaner and Awesome Customer Service
My wife and I bought our Beatbot Robotic Cleaner in July 2024. We wanted an easier way to clean the in-ground swimming pool at the home we purchased earlier the same year. We love our Beatbot!!! It's an amazing pool cleaner. It cleans the bottom, it cleans the walls, it cleans above the water line of the wall and it even has a setting to clean the surface. The filters fit one inside the other so the larger things are trapped in the first filter and the very fine things are trapped in the second filter. The filters are easly removed and super easy to clean with a spray nozzle on the water hose. During the fall when the leaves were falling we could use it several times a day to keep the pool clean when needed. This is our third home we've lived in that had a pool and I can say without hesitation our Beatbot has made this pool easier to clean than anything we used in the past. We kept our pool open through the winter so our Beatbot didn't get to take the winter or spring off. With all that said about our Beatbot and how awesome it is.....let me say some awesome things about their customer service. About 2 weeks ago our Beatbot began to act differently on the charging base. The lights would flicker off and on for awhile in a random pattern then it would start charging again. A few days later it became totally non-reactive on the charger. I contacted customer service when the lights started acting odd and they helped me work through several trouble shooting things but nothing seemed to help. They transferred me to the service department and they emailed a short list of additional things to check. When that didn't help, they ask me to send them a video of the Beatbot so they could futher evaluate the problem. The next day after sending the video, their service department emailed me back telling me they were going to replace my Beatbot at no charge and attached a FedEx mailing label for me to return the defective Beatbot at their expense. The Beatbot comes with a 2 year warranty but I must say that I didn't expect such an outstanding response. Everyone I dealt with was professional and easy to deal with. How refreshing it is when a business and their customer service team exceeds your expectations. If you're looking for an easy way to keep your swimming pool clean buy youself a Beatbot Robotic Cleaner.

Exceptional Cleaning Performance with Value-Packed Smart Features!
This pool robot is truly astonishing! Firstly, its cleaning performance is incredible, effortlessly tackling debris of all kinds on various pool, from leaves to the tiniest dirt particles, leaving everything sparkling clean. Furthermore, its operation is straightforward – just press a button and it starts working, eliminating any tedious setup procedures. However, it's worth noting that the price point may be higher compared to other options on the market, and the app connectivity can be a bit unstable at times. Nonetheless, considering its performance and convenience, it's still a worthwhile investment for any household with a pool!

Excellent top of the line pool cleaner!
This is one amazing cleaner. I've owned Dolphins' prior. This thing won't just do underwater, it also skims the surface, and will do both automatically. It also will surface when its done its daily work. Battery looks good.. and there are promotions you can take advantage of!
