A great starter set

Everything looks beautiful from the bowl to the bamboo parts. I am very amazed on the packaging foam inserts all around every single part that the box has this is evidence on how good the packaging is with a gouge on the side of the box and a good size gouge. The bowl is intact not damaged and still looking nice. Please note it came from Amazon like that but despite the gouge in the side of the box, everything inside was protected, thumbs up to the company that put in so much thought in shipping

I selected this set for occasional use and appreciate having proper service ware on-hand for guests, instead of a mish-mash of measuring spoons, bowls, measuring cups and whisk - which take away from the point of this small mindfulness ritual. If you are a higher volume tea lover who enjoys loose-leaf tea blends, loose herbal tisanes, ground or otherwise exotic teas, then this would be suitable for daily use, simply because of the tools required over the course of a tea day. The ceramic finish is a pretty warm green mist with a light golden glaze on it and would make a nice gift for a matcha lover or someone looking to add a dash of Chinoiserie or Japonica to their space. I love how this set looks in the sunlight in my kitchen. It comes with a natural bamboo matcha whisk, a pretty and a functional matching egg-shaped ceramic stand to store your whisk on and maintain its shape after repeatedly coming into contact with hot water, a bamboo chashaku (like a matcha rake) for measuring out your green gold, a honey-glazed bamboo spoon, a wooden scrub brush for cleaning the sifter, a matching ceramic trivet with anti-scratch cork finish bottom, a chashaku trivet and a microfibre wiping cloth. This is not heavy stoneware, so I'm giving it four stars for that reason alone. Otherwise, this is a nice upgrade for your matcha experience, equally a nice gift for someone else. Good value for money. Buy with confidence.
