Love this game so fun for fantasy lovers

As many other reviewers have already stated, this game is very fun! It is one of the few board games claiming to have adventure that really lives up to it! The art, game design, and production quality are all top notch! I was worried I’d spend forever picking up the rules, but it’s actually a pretty quick learn. We were also pleasantly surprised at how relatively simple the game turns are (typically roll, move, do what a location tells you to), considering this game carries a good amount of depth. Our family collects/plays a ton of different board games, and this one easily places among our very favorites. While this is a 5th edition, we had never been aware of this game until now, and are glad we came across it! The only negative I can say about this game is that it plays a little long. We typically prefer games that are roughly 60-90 minutes max, and this one can go for several hours. That said, it’s such a great game, we don’t mind the length because we want the adventure to keep on going! This is perfect for rainy days or game nights with friends who don’t mind a longer game. We definitely recommend this game! 😊

Got the digital version and wanted a physical one. Did not disappoint. Quality of pieces and packaging is very solid. I have a licensed version that definitely is not as nice (and not as fun). The game is great for my 10 year old. It’s takes a while and is mostly luck based but it’s fun and has lots of character variation. Recommended.

We play this in 2-player set up with a 10 yr old. He was able to pick up the rules and likes the game very much. Me, not so much. In a two player setting it is very easy to fall into a state in which one player effectively controls the game dynamics and can make a game last forever. There is no way to loose on purpose. It would be nice if there was a mechanism to kill your character or a limit of times they can respawn I feel the characters are not well balanced and there are some that are clearly better and after a few games it is easy to pick that up. Games can take anything between 30 minutes to multiple hours. It is not a casual game. The actual set is of nice quality. The figurines look very nice. I am giving it 4 stars in the hope that gameplay is better with more players. For two players is more like a three.

Having played 2, 4, and now 5, I really feel that this edition fits in well. If you love Talisman you probably don't even need to read this review as you already are just buying it, but if you haven't played Talisman this one, or 4th edition, are a great place to start (2nd with the space/cosmos expansion is something I still wish they would bring back). However, for this version, I appreciate the changes they made to the toad...really nerfed it but in a way that still keeps the fun of it, but without people being mad at you for days later, lol. Also, the expansion you can get converts the game to COOP which is a huge perk as it really makes the game more versatile.

Awesome game. I purchased this for my brother after playing it at a friend's house. It's interesting enough to keep you thinking but not so difficult a newbie cant understand it the first time they play.

Its been almost 40 years since i played this game and i still think its one of the best board games ever made, my siblings and I used to spend days even weeks playing it, i bought it for my son to introduce him to piece of my childhood and to take him away from computer and it worked! He loves it! i only wish the new edition would add ‘the town’ and ‘the cave’ expansions

Bought as something to do other than watch films at Christmas, but I thought we’d play a couple of times only. We’ve played it so much more. With just two of us we like it best to have two characters each, makes it more interesting. Good quality components, fun to play. It takes a few hours for someone to win and it’s fun at every turn

Loved this game when I was a kid and love it now many years after. This edition is easy and fun. Very good quality. At least few hours of group fun. Recomend.

Good edition to the 5th edition core box set.
