This is a very good book on growing exotic/gourmet and medicinal mushrooms. Either for someone who is starting or already is doing it! I love the illustrations, all the technical information, and especially growing, even as an experienced grower I found some insights, can't wait for 2nd and 3rd book to be released! Great insights overall for any stage of the grower, a lot of practical application to make some parts of the farm cheaper which is especially great when starting a farm. I wish I'd had this book 5 years ago, so I wouldn't have to figure everything out myself! :) Great work, great author. Wish you the best of luck! And thank you for your honest work!

There is an immediate feeling of the writers being real people with so much knowledge and experience in the field of commercial mushroom production. The photos and drawings bring their book to life. However, even though the book is for home-based farming, the vernacular is industry-specific, and therefore a novice can get lost in the terminology. Also, the book has been obviously translated into English from Ukrainian (possibly Russian). It may take reading some paragraphs a few times to understand the meaning. Also, if you happen to have experience in the world of carpentry/building, then you will have a definite advantage when reading this book. Nevertheless, the take-home point is that it is a well organized book that has a lot of information for home-based mushroom farm wannabes. You may want to supplement this book with a Mushroom Growing 101 type book, though.

This book deceived me because it does not go to the bottom of things with enough relevant details and because the book wasn't proofread by an English native speaker. In consequence it's quiet hard to read, several sentences make no sense at all and many words are misspelled.

Lovely book that goes in-depth on a lot of the different gourmet mushrooms and their specific needs. From substrate to incubator conditions, fruiting conditions and how best to store them. Besides that also a lot of information that help you level up from a mushroom farmer with a martha tent to one with an actual grow room. Love it!
