Afina Replacement Filter for Filtered Shower Head, Hard Water - 1 Pack

Replacing the filter only took a minute, and it fit exactly as expected. I like that I don’t have to wrestle with it or wonder if it’s seated correctly. Water pressure remained strong after installation, and it’s nice knowing the filtration is being refreshed on schedule. Replacement filters aren’t exactly exciting purchases, but this one did exactly what it was supposed to do.

This filter works well and is easy to replace.

Getting the shower head to unscrew was a bit challenging to replace the filter but the filter itself was simple. I have treated well water and these filters help keep my hair from getting brassy and the shower from getting iron build up. I recommend Afina to all of my friends!

Cleans the water, hair and skin is less dry.

Water pressure could be better. It would be nice to change the pressure. Can feel how soft the water is immediately. Easy to install and fit just right with the pipe fittings. Recommendations to change the filter every 6 months but I can visibly see the hard water build up on the head after about 2 months. This is being used by 2 adults who do not use the shower daily. It would be nice if the filter did last at least 6 months

he Afina A-01 Replacement Filter fits well with my Afina Filtered Showerhead and appears well-made. However, considering the price, I am unsure whether the quality of this filter fully justifies the cost. While I don’t have a direct way to compare it with similar filters from other manufacturers for this showerhead, the materials and construction give me some pause. The casing is polymer, and the filter media is held in place by stainless steel screens on each end. This design appears solid, but only time will reveal its actual performance and durability. One minor but curious detail is a circular pattern of printed dots on the side of the cartridge. Before it arrived, I assumed these were functional holes or vents, but they’re just a printed design with no clear relevance. A more significant issue, though, is the lack of clear directional markings. If Afina can print a decorative pattern, it would be far more useful to add an arrow to indicate the correct direction of water flow. With most consumer filters requiring specific orientation, this omission could easily lead to an installation error that affects the filter’s performance or longevity. If this filter is indeed omnidirectional, it should be clearly stated to avoid confusion. For now, the filter is functioning, but I’d be disappointed if it fails prematurely due to a simple, preventable installation error. Adding a straightforward "↑" or "↓" would make installation much more reliable and give peace of mind that the filter is set up correctly.

Living in a area with hard water this has been a shower game changer. Easy to install, durable, packaged well with includes accessories to install. Water flow is strong, softens water leaving hair and skin silky and smooth. Great value for the money. Only issue I experienced was replacing the filter due to build up. After figuring it out replacements became easier.

Excellent filter! I noticed a change in my skin since the second use. My skin is smoother, softer, and looks healthier. I've also noticed less hair falling out and it feels smoother with more volume.
