180 Days™: Social Studies for Fifth Grade: Practice, Assess, Diagnose

The '180 Days' school book series is top of the line. They cover all required standards and engage your homeschool students, and teachers, too! I switched this year, and am thrilled that I did. My student loves the books, we have one for each class. The teacher notes are terrific, everything is here for grading and recording. Your student will be challenged, and love it. They will be so proud of what they can accomplish. I feel this is the best set out for homeschool.

This workbook has been a super simple way to add some quick and easy social studies practice to my son’s routine. He’s an avid reader and loves diving into social studies topics on his own, so I wasn’t looking for something overly detailed or intense. This workbook fits the bill perfectly—it provides just enough coverage to refresh his memory on topics he’s already encountered. I appreciate how the activities are engaging without being too time-consuming, making them ideal for supplementing what he’s already learning through his independent reading (and his countless trips to the library!). It’s well-structured, with clear instructions and a variety of exercises that keep him interested. Overall, this is a great resource for light practice or as a refresher for kids who already have a solid foundation in social studies. It’s simple, effective, and created in a way that feels approachable for both parents and kids. Highly recommend for any 5th grader!

I've used these workbooks, for a few years now, to homeschool my daughter. They are fantastic! They really make the whole homeschooling process so much better. I will keep using these for sure!

The book is has great supplemental material. I would not use this book as my priority teaching tool, not enough lessons or enough detail lessons. It is really not organized to common core so you need to look around for the topic you might be teaching. Make sure you are reading ahead and know what comes the next day because not like other books next lesson does not mean next event in history. Can jump eras. The articles are interesting and kids do enjoy them. Sections are short and straight to the point with only 3 to 4 questions. Very easy to use and all answers in the back.

This is amazing! As a homeschool mom I am always looking for new workbooks to keep my kids engaged. I usually have multiple of each subject that I rotate throughout our school year because every books style is different and the content is different so it keeps my kids from getting to bored with the same workbook and learning style for the whole year. I do mostly child let and hands on learning but I do some workbooks just to help with penmanship and reading skills

I am very impressed with this 180 days of Social Studies for 5th grade! Growing up I actually hated history class, likely due to the teacher teaching it, but now that I'm a homeschooling mom to a 5th grader, I knew I had to take the plunge and teach her social studies. Receiving my delivery from Amazon today, I am very excited to teach my daughter through this book. It is very well put together, very detail oriented, and covers all necessary subjects of social studies. Even though the pictures within the book are not in color, I personally don't really miss that because they're so vivid and well depicted anyways. I am excited to relive my social studies days through my daughter and learn with her--as I know now as an adult how important history is to study! Happy homeschooling friends!
