Cole Haan mens Orson Chukka

These are extremely comfortable. The soles are light and have a good spring to them and the construction of the boot makes them feel great on. The best part of the design for me is the small slit at the top back of the boot which allows your achilles tendon to have a little wiggle room when you step. I have had other boots without this slit and they tend to dig in the back of my leg and take some time to break in before feeling good. There was absolutely no break-in issue with these. I wear them all day long with no issues at all.The one downside on these was that the color appeared a little more orange than brown. I polished them with some brown polish that darkened them enough, but the color out of the box did not look quite like the picture.Also, the sizing seems to run large. I typically wear a 10.5, but had to order a 10 (and even then was on the fence on whether to try out a 9.5, but stuck with the 10).

I live by Cole Haan and I was really excited to get them because they are beautiful shoes but when I got them there were a lot of marks and scratches and stains. And the one I ordered are the milkshake tan color, so they are all very visible. And a side note order a size above yours they run very small.

I really like these shoes. I wore them every day on a 2 1/2 week trip to Europe. I added insoles for more foot support. I also thoroughly sprayed the shoes with a suede protector. The shoes performed great, were comfortable, and still look good.I ordered 1/2 size small and was a little worried at first that the shoes might be too small. They fit snugly initially but stretched to fit properly. There is an additional lining in the forefoot to keep the shape of the shoe.The shoes are made with a very thin black suede. The suede can get a little shiny in some places when rubbed but the overall look is sharp and sophisticated. At first I was worried the leather was too thin and that it would stretch too much. It did not. The shoes stretched a bit to fit and are holding their shape very well.I tried other boots that felt too bulky and clunky. I didn't need an urban survival boot. For me, I wanted shoes that I could wear casually or with a dressier pair of pants. These did the job perfectly and have a thin, stylish, and easy look about them.

The shoes are very soft and comfortable.I knew Cole Haan shoes typically run larger than other shoe makers.However, I feel that these pair run even larger than the other Cole Haan shoes that I own. (I own 3 other pairs.)I usually wear 7.5, but this pair give an extra inch of room in my toes.I hope they can make shoes true to the size. For that reason, I give 3 stars.

The leather on this pair of boots is extremely soft. I am also able to stand in them for hours without any discomfort. (After my two ankle surgeries, that is a difficult feat to accomplish!!) They are super comfortable and go great with jeans, but I am sure they will go well with other types of pants, I just happen to be a jeans and t-shirt kind of guy and these boots are a fantastic way for me to dress it up a bit. I purchased a pair of black size 11's and they fit true to size. I picked up this pair for $50.00 here on Amazon. Great deal for Cole Haan's. I would definitely recommend these boots!

Construction not that great. The leather around the ankle is thin and seemed to be cut wrong. It was either stretched too tight or with too much material and had a large crease just under the outer ankle. I expected it to be smooth like the picture. Didn't look right when worn.

My review is more in the mid-4 star range. These shoes look great. They're light and breath. They are very versatile and go with anything. One of my favorite features is that little slit on the back to slip the boot on and off with ease - in fact I wish the all adopted this rather than using a loop or tag to hold on to.These are comfortable shoes to an extent - the lining is smooth and you will not get chaffed but the they are very flat. If you're on your feet for a while or like to walk then you will start to notice a little bit. The other problem I had was that the rubber sole could have been a little more durable. I wore them about 10 times, mostly indoors and took them for a couple strolls good for about 3 miles total and the heel and sole on one was starting to peel off in thin sheets.
