Amazing for Homemade Colombian Quesito!
This rennet worked perfectly for my homemade Colombian-style quesito! I used 6 tablespoons of vinegar for cooking and added salt to taste. For an authentic touch, I incorporated 100 grams of quesito (Colombian fresh cheese) into the mix. The texture came out just right—soft, slightly crumbly, and very fresh. I’ve attached a photo of my result to show how well it turned out. Highly recommend for anyone making cheese at home—this product delivers exactly what it promises. Will definitely buy again!

I made cheese!
I have been trying to learn cheesemaking for years. I've dabbled with it. I've attended classes where they made it or helped me. I finally decided to try it myself. My neighbor has a cow and shared some fresh milk with me. I had everything else except the rennet so I ordered some. It came super fast and I was able to give it a try. I was surprised how little we needed for a batch. Only 1/4 of a tablet. I made mozzarella and added a little green chili to it. It turned out beautifully! I was excited to share it with people. I think I'm ready to try it again now. I wish you could keep rennet indefinitely because it would be a great item for having on hand if things got bad due to disasters, trucking strikes etc. Those with farm animals will need the accompanying items like rennet to be able to make stuff from the milk. This is a great way to store it though. I don't have to worry about bottles getting broken. Tablets are fantastic for storing because they are small enough to tuck away in the fridge drawer for later use. Nice item!

Hasn't worked yet
Pros: Recommended for cheesemaking. Long shelf life (up to 3 years) if kept in freezer. Cons: Product is not dated. Could be old. Tablets hard to cut and dissolve. I ended up putting a whole tablet in a cup of water, then used 1/4 cup. Recipe from their website calls for 1/4 tab/gallon of milk, then let sit uncovered for 5 min up to 30 min off heat. However instructions with tablets says 1/4 tablet sets 1 gallon of milk in 45 minutes at 86-95 degrees. I tried 2 gallon. The first gave no separation of curds and whey at 30 minutes off heat. The last one was let to sit for 45 min with temperature 86-95 per instructions. Curd separated from whey, but after cooking per instructions and stirring curds dissolved and got warm milk. I talked to the company who the rennet is working if the curd forms initially, and that my experience is most likely a milk issue, and that mozzarella is the most finicky. Milk that is heated to higher temperatures quickly may not be technically "ultrapasteurized" and is not required to be labeled as such. Unfortunately this is often done for commercial milk. I am going to try and get some raw milk. Woman who helped me said that milk that doesn't work for mozzarella may be fine for other cheeses, like paneer. I also ordered some of their liquid rennet to see if it works better.

Recibí muy rápido pero, no me funcionó. Hay otros tipos de cuajos que quizá funcionen mejor. Muy caro el producto para que no funcione. El queso no debe quedar así aguado sin cuerpo, y si queda es porque no sirve el cuajo
