Kerapoxy Easy Design 110 MANHATTAN 2000 3 kg - decorative, acid-resistant, two-component epoxy grout

We have just finished using this to grout our outdoor porcelain patio. We consulted with Mapei's technical team and they advised that this is their toughest grout which should allow any moisture through, shouldn't shrink and also resists mould and algae....time will tell. I've given this 4 stars because this is a to stage mix using epoxy and basically if you traditionally applied this you WILL have to spend a lot of time cleaning the trace layer of epoxy left on the tiles. We use blue masking tape to help and used a smaller plastic grouting/filler type tool. Whilst one person applied the grout, a second was following closely behind to lift the tape and sponge the grout carefully. We used 1.5 kg tubs and there is NO WAY you could apply a 3kg tub before it started to "go off". Admittedly it is summer but we grouted in the cooler evenings (UK - 15-20C temp). When I tried to grout and sponge myself the grout had started to set so it left a haze of epoxy on the tiles where I had wiped and we had to use the Mapei epoxy cleaner to remove this. The finish is great and we love the colour and it seems to be rock solid now it's dried. Worth mentioning it can't rain on it at least for the first 24 hours after it's applied so in the UK that's another limiting factor. All of this said we would use this product again (so long as it lasts the test of time that Mapei have promised) but applying it is not at all easy.
