Works well with my Rog Ally
I bought this because I was gonna upgrade my handheld gaming device to 4 tb storage. This adapter works well and I have had no problems with the new ssd I’ve attached to it. My only small complain is the screw to pin down the ssd doesn’t fit the template cut out hole for it. It fits ok but not perfectly.

Cheap SSD Mod for the ROG ALLY
Paired this with a 2TB M.2 SSD and there’s been no issues so far. I haven’t checked the speeds, but it’s been fine for me. Didn’t use a heatsink as I usually keep watch of the temps during playtime and use lower/custom wattages. Do keep in mind, if you’re not using a custom back plate for your ROG ALLY or you didn’t trim the stock backplate, you will be able to notice a slight bump where the SSD is placed since it was intended for a 2230 SSD. I don’t really notice it much or care and it seems fine, but it is something to note.

Great product
Easy to install, used on my rog ally, and a bigger 2tb ssd w/heatsink it fit great even with the heatsink, good price, been using for months had no issues with storage, or overheating, I recommend!

Great NVME SSD adapter!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Great adapter for the Rog Ally. Used a Crucial 4TB NVMe SSD upgrade with it and have had no problems so far. It has been working for at least 3 months or so far.

Won’t recognize the new SSD/then broke
After installing this I was never able to get my Samsung 990 EVO to be recognizable to the system and after removing and reinstalling the drive and adapter several times the adapter broke. The little brass nut that holds down the new larger drive came completely off the pcb. I’m disappointed and wish I would have saved the few buck and just bought a 2230 SSD from the start and avoided the hassle.

ROG Allyの内蔵M.2 SSDを安価な2280の2TBに換装するため購入しました。 取り付けは簡単で、心配していたバッテリーとの干渉もなく問題なく認識されました。 耐久性はまだわかりませんが、Gen4ではなくGen3のSSDを選んだこともあり、 今のところ異常な発熱はなさそうです。

El dispositivo cumple con su función; pero no me agrado instalación. A causa que este mod se "acuesta" sobre el cableado de la batería. Este aplica presion tanto en el SSD como en el cableado. El nvme se veía doblado como 1 a 2 milimetros. El resultado final no me convencio. Preferí regresarlo.

Funktioniert einwandfrei mit der Asus Rog Ally Z1E. Hab hier eine 2TB SSD Kingston KC3000 installiert. Zur Sicherheit hab ich bei Schrauben ect ein Elektro Isolierband angeklebt.
