SodaStream Genesis Drinks Maker - White

This device has given me great pleasure since I bought it just before Christmas. I make my own cordials out of garden fruit such as mulberries and then carbonate them in this device, so can't comment on the value of the syrups they supply. Just a note that it's good to wait a few seconds before removing the bottle or it will spray you. I have decided to continue using it despite my dismay at discovering that it is made in Israeli settlements on the West Bank on land that has been forcibly stolen from Palestinians by racist land-grabbing settlers. But it's too late now and, frankly, I couldn't now do without this great device. I have decided to give £100 to Jews For Justice For Palestinians to ease my conscience and because I believe that right-minded Jews are our only hope for a solution to this dreadful problem.

Carbonate the water and add the juices afterwards. That way it helps keep the sodastream clean.I'd recommend using filtered water if you're just having carbonated water. It just tastes miles better.

Very simple to set up, use and straight forward usage. Does not require any electrical supply, and provide carbonated water simply and quickly

What a relief - no more bottles of fizzy from the supermarkets. The sodastream bottle is just about big enough for 2 pints of water. Our first gas bottle lasted a month - good for up to 3 bottles a day. The unit fits under the kitchen cabinets nicely. Do check you have enough clearance.Gas refills are not easy to come by. Argos are constantly out of stock. Hopefully more retailers will be selling soon.

The Sodastream is a strange item, but it's certinally worth the price! It makes drinks perfectly easily and it's flavours (not included if I remember) are brilliant. Argos (and even the seller here I presume) will sell a pack of 12 tester flavours, definatley worth a buy. This maker is brilliant, worked straight out the box. Bit loud when it creates the fizz but you get used to it!

I got this as a present for teeenage sons at Christmas and it was by far their top present. Easy to use, looks good in the kitchen and lots of choice of flavours. I remember soda streams from way back but not many kids have seen them now so it has lots of novelty value for friends. Great - can't fault it. We've used it loads and gas is still going strong.
