These are the exact replacements for retaining rings on the driver’s side floor mat for my Toyota 2014 Prius C. I’ve torn up my drivers side floor mat over time on the lower side where the retaining rings are. I decided to mend my original floor mat. The first step was getting two 17 × 4 inch self-adhesive rubber safety mats with tread surface at my local Harbor Freight along with a leather sewing awl. The 17 ×4 rubber mats were the perfect size for my Prius C floor mat as I didn’t need to do any trimming. I put one at each side, top and bottom. The adhesive is not effective so that is where I used the leather sewing awl to attach the two rubber mats to the car floor mat. I also got leather rivets with hammer anvil at Michaels craft store. I used those to further reinforce all the mats together. My floor mat was repaired and rugged now. Unfortunately, it was not possible to reuse the original mat retaining rings as the white nylon bottom ring is permanently attached. I could not order these specific rings at my dealer. They’ll want you to order all four original floor mats for hundreds of dollars. I measured the distance between the two rings - on my Prius C it is exactly 7 inches. I used a razor blade to carve out the rubber treads to flatten the areas for the rings, top and bottom sides. I cut out rough holes for the rings and attached them. Because there was much more material thickness all sandwiched together, so I used vice grips to forcibly compress the rings to “marry” them together. I used super glue to reinforce the tiny tabs on the locking white nylon rings. After the glue was fully dry and hardened, my driver side floor mat was fully repaired! These floor mat rings are completely identical to factory original. I got a set of four rings but only needed two. On the Prius C 2014, only the drivers side mat bears two rings. So the floor mat repair worked out and was much more cost effective by several orders of magnitude than buying new replacement mats.

I was surprised in how easy to install and clean this replacement look. I was devastated when I ripped the original mat clip off my new car. Almost bought a replacement floor mat for 180. Thankfully I found this listing. 10/10
