This is a very good swim cap, it's very snug fitting and sturdy feeling. I bought an extra large, which fits a "big head" pretty good, with a good amount of space left for your hair.

I got this cap to cover my locs which go midway down my back. I ordered an X-Large and it fit and held all of my locs in. I spent a little over an hour in the pool. The rubber (or material) is thick and the cap fit quite tightly. I give this product 4 stars because water got into my ears, which I covered with the cap, and the edges of my hair were wet when I finished swimming. The majority of my hair was dry, which is great, but getting chlorine on my edges is not a good thing.

Get the smaller size unless you have a TON of hair. My hair is curly shoulder length and speedo changed the profile so the long hair swim cap I used for years and years so it’s too small now to fit all my hair. To be on the safe side I ordered XL. I don’t have that much hair as I thought for this one, ha ha! It’s huge, so I fold it over in the middle - almost like a headscarf. If my hair was still bra strap length would be perfect. Be warned this band is really tight, have to place it just right or you’ll get a headache. Make sure it’s below your occipital lobe and not bunched up at all. Also have to push on it to get the air out after you wear it. The material is thick so I don’t think it will rip like others I’ve purchased since Speedo changed the profile of the long hair one. It keeps the water out so my hair stays dry. Easy to put on, mostly comfortable except for the band if you let it bunch in the back. Have to place it just right since it’s so tight. The style is cute. Think it will last a long time.

I gave a crochet install and used this cap at a water park. I went down every slide there was and my hair is still dry as a bone! It fits very snug, so it’s big hair friendly.

This is a much better fit than the Speedo "large" swimcap. My hair is either tied back or in two braids before swimming. The cap is easy to put on, does not slip off while swimming, and keeps hair dry. Your bottom edges or around your ears may get wet, especially if you lift the cap off your ears temporarily for better hearing (just leave in place otherwise). It's a tight fit and kind of "stretches/scrunches" your forehead a bit as another reviewer mentioned. No headaches so far after a month of use a few times a week (or rips!), and tbh how your swimcap looks on your face isn't too important in a beginner swim class so long as you can see, water doesn't get in your ears, and you don't spend half the class fighting with it to stay in place.

This swim cap does not protect your hair. It allows water in when you go underwater. It is tight enough to give one a headache. Your hair will stay dry if you are at the water park or beach, or being splashed. Just do not go under water.

Works great for the pool

I’ve used it once so far. I have mid-back/ bra strap length sisterlocs and the cap kept my locs dry during my first swim lesson. Not too tight, good design, easy to put on and protected my hair just the way I wanted. The cap is flexible and of good quality which helps get the cap on and set.
