Works well
Clips firmly to top/hood of dashboard. Presents GPS at same position as sandbag mount, and does not slide upon acceleration or declaration.

Main arm is very stiff and takes much strength to move it.
Clamp fits tight and secures unit to dashboard well,. Main lever arm takes a VERY harsd push to move it.

Mount meant to clamp onto your dash-edge. Not a great hold, slides off.
The holder itself is of good quality. But... Clamped onto the rear-view mirror is probably the most secure option, but this also blocks a good part of the mirror so not an option I'd use. Whether this will actually work for you depends highly on the angle of the dash "hood" it clamps onto. In my truck, when at standstill it seems secure enough, but because of the angling of the hood (not a sharp angle with a constant-thickness hood) it very quickly slides off and the whole GPS assembly falls on the floor almost as soon as vibrations from driving starts. In the end, I could not find a good way to attach this in my truck and went back to the weighted stand I was using before. Not recommended, unless you are sure up front that you either don't mind getting your rearview mirror obscured or have a dash hood with a fixed (not angled) thickness.

Durability?
So far so good. I am concerned about the durability of the hinge area. It has a strong spring, and I can't tell how strong the hinge area is (its plastic). I am a truck driver, and I share a truck with another person. This means I have to install and remove this mount daily. I would recommend to the manufacturer to make a version of this mount with an aluminum hinge area. Update: it only lasted a couple of months then snapped just above the hinge.

You need to have a ball socket
This unit clamps on well to the dash & the socket holds the gps securely. I like that you can adjust the position of the screen depending on the sunlight.

Produto resistiu muito bem por estradas de terra, onde a vibração é bem mais intensa.
