I have slept on one almost identical to this for the past 6 years. My husband paid a lot for the other one from a medical supply company. It was about 3 times this price. This one came shrink wrapped and vacuum packed in a box. It was shocking that they were able to shrink this pillow to such a small package. It was up to its size within 24 hours. The only negative I could state was it smelled a little odd when it came out of the plastic. I guess it is the foam or the dye in the cover. I let it air out and it does not smell after a few days. The cover is velvety soft. The cover is removable to be laundered. You can use the wedge pillow two different ways. I will occasionally use it with the steeper incline to watch TV in bed but mostly use it in the smaller incline to sleep on. I use it because of acid reflux issues and difficulty breathing while sleeping flat. I use to sleep on 2-3 pillows that slipped out from each other. This wedge has helped me a lot. I sleep with it on my side and additional small pillow. I sleep with this every day. Glad to be able to find one to replace my old one at an economical price that is equal quality.

I have emence swelling in my extremities so I do require something to sleep with under my knees to help keep my legs elevated to keep the swelling down. I have tried everything I already had at home all the other pillows failed me either I would kick them out of place or id fall off in the middle of the night or the dogs would steal my spot on top of them and I'd wind up in even odder positions!!! This is winding up to be a life saver for me I've gotten the best sleep of the year !!!! I also am able to set it up when I am trying to watch TV and play games on the tablet it's at just the perfect position to get rid of constant heart burn !!! I'm in love with this angled pillow and I think I will only fall for it more and more!!!

Seems like a great firm pillow, perfect for my acid reflux. BUT upon opening, THE SMELL!!!! Why does it smell like that? I’m hoping to wash the pillow itself and the cover tomorrow hoping that horrid smell goes away. I was really hoping to use it tonight but I can not stand it, it filled the room with that odd strong smell!

If I had known that the cover joins the 2 foam wedges together and no way to detach, I wouldn't have taken this as I was looking to use each piece separately. I've gotten sets before that each piece is separate, which means also with its own solid cover. This is the first I've gotten that the pieces, by the cover, are inseparable, and so that limits you to whatever positions, together, those can achieve, and it may work for many. But I had a specific idea to use each on the same bed, but in different areas. So do know the cover joins both together, that it is a not by velcro that can be taken apart, but actually a solid connection, nothing less than taking the cover off will get you 2 foam wedges. Being that they are kind of larger than ordinary size it isn't like I could just grab a standard pillow case for each, and it didn't work for my intentions. Otherwise I found it a decent wedge combo. I didn't find any issues with smells or any other problem save that the cover could not separate in to the 2 wedges, but keeps them together.

I was so looking forward to finally having a pillow to elevate my arthritic knees. I unpacked it, and set it on my bed. I was doing chores at the time, and about 15 min later I came back into my room and felt this terrible smell... The best I can describe it is as a "fishy". It took me a while to figure out it was this pillow, so I removed it from the room. I even had to change the sheets where I set it down, because even opening the windows the smell wouldn't go away! I smelled it up closely, and the "fishy" fades to reveal some sort of chemical (and still horrible smell). Too bad, because the fabric felt SUPER soft and cuddly, but I couldn't even be in the same room with it, less a try it. At the moment, I have no desire to have this anywhere near my skin while sleeping/resting. If something smells this bad, it simply cannot be good for me. Who knows what materials or toxic chemicals they're adding to products these days... I will update my review if I'm ever able to use this pillow (if the smell ever goes away). If my rating doesn't change within a month, it's because I wasn't able to use it.

I am a diabetic senior citizen and I need to often raise my legs up a bit, especially the knees. I have been using pillows for that but they just don't quite do the job. So I ordered this hoping it would be a good solution. It is. When I got this today I immediately had to try it out. It took a brief moment to get it folded just right and under my knees but then I laid back on my other wedge cushion that does NOT fold like this one does and now I know how an astronaut feels in their custom made cushioned seat. I actually drifted right off to sleep. There are all kinds of ways this can be configured and if I saw this before I got my other wedge I would have ordered two. I may yet order another one of these. I highly recommend this for both elevation of back as well as knees and lets. I wish I had this years ago when I sprained my ankle.

Okay, I am sold. At first getting this, my hubby thought it had a smell to it but it dissipated after a day. I didn't think it had any smell, other than that new smell, you know what I mean. I was in an accident and have pain in my neck and top part of back and cannot lay flat on my back anymore. This pillow is perfect for me. I love that I can use it watch TV or read on my bed and feel comfortable doing it with this pillow. As for being able to side sleep on it, well, for me it's great on back sleeping but I rolled off of during the night when sleeping on side so it's a no go for me side sleeping on it. This is firm but a great firm. Like sleeping on firm Tempur-Pedic. So, it a comfy firm. If that makes sense to you. This pillow will be getting nightly use from me.

This is a decent wedge pillow with multiple configurations for different uses. It is covered in a plush fabric, and the cover can be unzipped for washing. For my purposes, the head/torso elevation and leg elevation configurations are the most useful. The velcro straps are strong and hold the two parts together firmly. The cushions were close to full size when I received them and plumped up to full size within 24 hours. Two cautions: 1. People either like or dislike memory foam. This pillow is made of memory foam, so you can confidently buy it if that is what you like. 2. Like other reviewers, I was completely turned off by the "rotten" smell of the cushions when they arrived. It was not a typical smell of foam, plastic, or rubber - more like rotting organic matter. I placed the cushions outdoors in full sun for 48 hours, and - somewhat to my surprise - the smell disappeared so that I could sleep comfortably at night. I typically use a regular bed pillow on top of wedge pillows, so that may also have helped. At any rate, in the end odor was not a problem.
