This is a sturdy bin, that has an inner removable container with handle, a lid that can be opened two ways and is supplied with a roll of bin liners and a charcoal filter for the lid. It can be hung on a kitchen cupboard door (for example), but can also be wall mounted. I've used this bin for over a week, and so far there have been no unpleasant odours. It's simple to use, and empty. I'm hoping that fruit flies don't gain access. So far, so good - but I'm hanging it on the inside of a cupboard for extra protection! Overall, I'm pleased with it. It's an attractive design, and just about the right size to prevent food waste hanging around the kitchen too long. It doesn't look cheap and the fact that I can get it off my worktop and out of sight is a definite plus.

Again, another well thought-out high quality item from EKO. The design and ease-of-use of the lid is the best part. Plus, they give you free bags and activated charcoal pads (to control the smell) - that's what the green part on the inside of the bin is - you put a pad into it, and it absorbs bad smells. Also, very easy to clean and maintain a hygenic compost bin. I also really love the mixture of materials and the colours they use. Considering the amount of design and high quality materials used in the creation of this Food Waste Compost Bin, it's definitely good value for money! Sure its bigger than a 7 lt. I took 1 star off for the way it hooks on a door it doesnt feel very stable. Lid fits well go gaps. I got this for the fact it has inner bucket. You get a free roll of bags with it too

looks lovely, especially like the bracket that allows bin to hand easily from wall or side of cabinet, easy to open when holding waster

My husband did not want me to get this. He was concerned that it would not keep the odors in. However, being winter in New England, I still wanted to be able to compost yet did not want to have to go out to the backyard (we keep our compost bin far away) that frequently. I won and we gave it a try😊. It works great! Between how snugly the cover hits and the carbon filter it comes with not odors come out. The size is perfect for us - I went **weeks** without having to empty it. I was a nice surprise that it came with 30 liners! I have it hanging off the side of our stainless steel duel trash bin we keep in the kitchen. I love that there are two ways to open the bin. Flip up for a quick toss in; pull down when I need to push in lots of scraps from my cutting board. This makes composting so easy - no excuses anymore. The only problem is you will be trying to find even more things to compost. Luckily Alexia has all the answers. For the record - dryer lint works if it is from natural fibers, as does finger nails. Do not compost baked goods, meat, fish, or dairy. Enjoy stepping up for composting!!
