Got these for my husband. He looks great in them very comfortable. Good quality.

I like these shorts WAY better than the other ones I'd gotten for years. They are a bit more durable, they're quite a bit less expensive, they don't have velcro (buttons instead) , and they have a couple of zipper pockets, which is nice to have peace of mind for things not falling out. Sometimes the zipper tab can get stuck, making them hard to zip/ unzip though.

For reference, I am about 6' 1" or so, and about 190-195 pounds assuming my scale is accurate...I've been wearing the same couple pairs of cargo shorts for probably a decade, but I have lost a little weight so I decided to buy a pair of these to try out. My old shorts were a 40, I measured my waist before buying and my tape measure gave me 38", so I decided to go with a 38 here (which was also recommended by Amazon). I wish I had looked for that big sizing chart before placing my order, because when I put them on, the promptly fell to the floor lol. Now I see that the chart shows a size 38 is actualy waist size 40. I may have sized up even if I had noticed the size chart, because i prefer my pants to be a little loose than a too tight. Oh well, nothing a belt won't help with, but if I order another pair, I may try a 36 instead.With that said, these seem to be pretty good quality. The material is decently thick and comfortable, it doesn't feel like some of that cheap, thin material you find all too easily when shopping clothes online. The stitching feels pretty solid. The pockets are not the deepest I've had, but they aren't shallow and hold my phone and wallet just fine so I won't complain. I bought the gray/green listing, which is somewhere between your normal khaki color, dark green, and gray, which is nice and is a color I didn't previously have.If i had one real complaint (other than the sizing issue mentioned, which was at least partially my fault), it would be that each listing shows a belt, but none of the available options come with one. I know the product listing title and the listing itself both state that it doesn't come with a belt, and I was aware of this when I bought it, but I actually like the one shown in the picture and would have to make another purchase to get it, assuming I could find one.All-in-all, based on first impressions, I recommend these shorts, and would most likely buy them again.

I ended up returning these shorts because they were too big. I normally wear a 36, which I ordered, and these were way too loose. I might have taken the chance they'd shrink, but I also had some concerns about the zipper.The shorts seemed well made with nice strong but not too heavy fabric, with nice deep pockets, but the zipper seemed very low quality too me. It was not at all smooth operating...and for me that is a show stopper. No matter how well the shorts are made, if the zipper gives out, you are left with nothing. It was hanging up right from the start...which is not good, and just seemed like a cheap low quality zipper on some nice shorts.Too bad too because I liked the look and feel and if not for the quality of the zipper I would have just exchanged them for the correct size.

These shorts are pretty nice quality, love the zipper pocket option for extra security storing anything you don't wanna lose. The outer button pockets could honestly just be removed completely, no real reason be doubled up on overlapping pockets like that. Sizing-wise, I am about a 34" waist on everything I wear so I got the size 34 which has a 36.2" measured waist, and since these are cotton, I anticipated them shrinking down to my ideal size after the first wash, which they did.There are two things that need to be improved though, and those are the main waistline button, and the hole it goes in. This thing is held in place by maybe two threads and popped off after my 4th day wearing them, so that needs to be reinforced more. I even widened the hole that it fits through with a knife because it was far too narrow for that size button (other reviews mention this as well), so it had plenty of space to fit without putting excess force on it or the threads, yet it still came undone.Other than that, they're very nice. If the manufacturer can make those two very minor updates, these would be perfect.
