I honestly don't know whether the people giving this computer 1 star are just snow flakes or working for a competitor. If they say this is the slowest computer they have ever used, then I want their old computer! Obviously they are buying this computer as an upgrade or they wouldn't have purchased it in the first place. I own a drone training facility in which I use 10 of these computers for VR flight simulation, and video editing. If you know anything about stimulation, especially VR, it has to look good and be fast! I have owned these computers for the past seven months. I have taken them to numerous outdoor vendor fairs, as well as trained teenage high school students, including international foreign exchange students and i have only ever had an issue with one of the laptops that fixed itself via bios upgrade. This is a great computer at a higher price point. At this price point I wish I could give it 6 stars. And no, I'm not paid for our in anyway associated with this company selling these or Asus. Btw I gave also been in the computer industry building/ computers for the last 25 years and i know something about what im taking about.

Great price. I added a sata III and its very fast. I have only had 3 problems so far. When I cloned the O.S. I kept getting lock up login screen. Eventually I did a clean install and everything worked perfect except the touch pad. It still doesn't work and there are no drivers for it on the asus website. Also the wifi seems to have a mind of its own sometimes. Its doesn't seem to want to start right away on reboot or start up. After about 3-4 mins it finally connects and I am usually good to go from there. Over all I am very happy with it.

This thin and light notebook computer was not purchased for gaming but for work. It has the correct components for how I use it, plus, it has an 8th generation intel cpu, has room for a SSD, and for up to 32GB of ram, unusual for an ASUS, but a pleasant surprise, from my past experience with ASUS, having made three previous purchases. In my business, I am constantly downloading large files (3-4 GB) and then watching the digital footage, maybe editing it, and re-editing it. This notebook is perfect for how I use it, and it's light and seems sturdy, though the case appears to be all plastic. It doesn't have as many USB ports as I'd like, but it has enough for the price point (isn't that why they have USB hubs?) and, of course, no optical drive, but I have a nice blu-ray external drive that cost me about $20, which is small, light, and handy to carry in the carry sleeve I bought to go with the notebook. It would nice if it had a docking station of some sort, but that wasn't a deal breaker, just an afterthought. The most important lesson I learned is to read the warranty before you buy the product, because, this one is only 1 year (which I knew), will not be extended by the manufacturer, which I didn't know, (leaving you to wrestle with the decision whether or not to take your chances or go with a third party warranty company that I have found, in the past, is a useless expense and then there is also, insurance that can be purchased, but I haven't done that either or ever) and allows the manufacturer to pick up almost anything off the street to replace or repair parts that need replacing or repairing, &, if they work, then it's fixed so far as the manufacturer is concerned; they've discharged their obligation under their warranty. Had I to do it all over, I would pick a manufacturer that only made repairs and replacements with new parts, if any exist out in the notebook world, or maybe they are all like that (haven't had time to read the other warranties, yet, but will before my next purchase). Analysis at this point is that was a smart purchase and everything functions as it should, though a ram upgrade is in the near future, as 8 gigs is tasked every time I use the machine, but adequate for now. I would buy another one, at this point, because of the price point, and pray it doesn't need any repairs. However, for 3-4 hundred dollars more, maybe a better warranty and machine could be had; that extra 3-4 hundred was not in my budget so I didn't really look. I'll be back if any important updates are in order.

I am using it to write this review. Well, I will not say it has the best specs if you compare to other gaming laptops. I just want a graphics card to run little editing stuff and light gaming. 1050 2GB for heavy gaming? You can dream about it....... The speaker amazed me! It is almost the same as using headphone when I listen to my favorite music, but you have to be right in front at the computer. Overall, the performance is good; the CPU is the lastest and fast. The keyboard is quite good and comfortable. I don't really like the red line design but I rather it is plain steel. The battery can let you use about 4.5 hours if you just internet and youtube. The wifi works perfectly like the advertising. It works well even though I am a little far away from the router and have a wall in between. The fan is not noisy, and the thermal control is very good. I feel slightly warm when I am using it to light works. I do recommend you buy the SSD version though. It is quite slow when I trying to install software even though it is an SSHD. I will add an SSD later.

Después de usarla por mas de 300 horas, creo es pertinente escribir una reseña: Puntos a favor: La calidad del material, así como el teclado y monitor son excelentes. El procesador y memoria RAM los considero buenos, mas no excelentes NOTA: Compre una memoria RAM y un disco duro solido extra, de este modo la Laptop se convirtió en una verdadera computadora GAMING, después de su adquisición e instalación, se me hace una maravilla de Laptop, claro, tuve que invertir un poco más, pero realmente lo valió. Ya instalada la memoria RAM y disco duro solido la probé con juegos como: The witcher 3, Fall out 4, Fortnite, Apex Legends, Darkest dungeon, Ori and the blind forest, Overwatch, Black desert Online y como CONCLUSIÓN puedo decir que corren de maravilla, muy fluidos y en la mayoría con gráficos elevados o ultra. FUNCIONA a la perfección para programas de Diseño y edición de audio y vídeo, la utilizo para manejar la Suite ADOBE y va de maravilla. After effects, Photoshop, illustrator, premiere y Indesign. Su bluetooth es muy bueno y compatible con controles como el PRO de Nintendo Switch y Xbox one. Puntos en contra Creo yo que el primer punto en contra es de dejarla tal cual viene de fabrica, ya que se desperdicia de sobremanera la Laptop. (Si la compras, adquiere un disco duro y más memoria RAM) El sonido no es muy bueno, las bocinas se escuchan bien, pero realmente se disfruta más con unos audífonos o una bocina exterior. El TECLADO viene con configuración y alfabeto de Estados Unidos por lo que no tiene la Ñ y hay que acostumbrarse a la modificación. Se eres muy atento y melindroso puede que te moleste el sonido del ventilador, en lo personal no me molesta, creo yo, suena mas fuerte un ventilar de PS4 Pro. CONCLUSIÓN. Para el costo en que esta es muy buena laptop, hay que invertir un poco mas (Aproximadamente 2 o 3 mil pesos)en una RAM y disco duro solido, pero es una excelente opción, me encuentro muy feliz y satisfecho con el producto, además llego muy bien empaquetada y antes de lo planeado.

I got it on Black Friday and it was delivered in less than a week (from US to AUS). The laptop is beautiful. The only issue is the Hybrid Hard drive has a very little SSD partition (around 8gb?) and so the everyday windows use experience might feel very slow compared to PCs with full SSD drives. But in terms of gaming (after slow installing and loading the games) all works as expected from the GTX 1050.

He usado por tres semanas ya éste equipo y creo que ya puedo dar una opinión relativamente completa sobre él, y en general he estado más que satisfecho con él Pros: Buen diseño, sobre todo si eres fan de la estética "gamer". Procesador Intel Core i5 de 8va Generación que no se encuentra muy fácilmente en equipos en el país aún. Velocidad de lectura del disco duro híbrido. Tarjeta Nvidia GTX 1050, cumplidora incluso con títulos de última generación siempre y cuando estés dispuesto a bajar los gráficos a calidad media o baja. Teclado retroiluminado (con indicador de Bloq. Mayús). Pantalla Full HD (1080p). Es ligera (comparada con otros equipos para gaming) El teclado es bueno, la única desventaja es que está en inglés por lo que tienes que saber el layout de un teclado en español de memoria para escribir. Lo mejor de todo: excelente precio, sobre todo si comparamos su precio con los de equipos similares en México. Contras: La pantalla es buena, por eso también está mencionada en los pros, sin embargo los colores son algo pálidos y no tiene los mejores ángulos de visión. Las bocinas apenas cumplen, es preferible usar audífonos. Sin embargo, aún con estos contras esta laptop es realmente lo mejor que puedes comprar en este presupuesto, tiene increíbles especificaciones y cumple con todo lo que esperas, como comentario tengo que, aunque no es una necesidad, ya que el disco híbrido cubre su trabajo muy bien, si tienes oportunidad es bueno ponerle un SSD aunque sea de capacidad baja solo para montar Windows ahí.

El equipo es sencillamente el mejor en relación costo - beneficio. La atención es inmediata y puedo asegurarles que es muy poco el tiempo de espera si ordenaron desde México. Llegó en excelentes condiciones y sin ningún contratiempo. En relación a cuestiones técnicas, todo funciona de maravilla. Un detalle que puede interesar a algunos es que el disco duro emite un leve sonido al trabajar intensamente, casi imperceptible pero está presente. Para más detalles pueden dar lectura a las demás reseñas, en una en particular se detalla esta cuestión muy bien. Los ventiladores funcionan de maravilla, evitando el sobrecalientamiento. Los gráficos igualmente son de alta calidad y la experiencia de hacer uso del equipo es muy agradable. Para los usuarios de Linux: Hice un dual boot con windows 10 y ubuntu corriendo en el mismo disco y tras enfrentar un par de complicaciones con los drivers para la tarjeta gráfica en ubuntu, conseguí que todo funcione de maravilla, salvo los ventiladores que por ser de última generación, no los reconoce linux. (De cualquier forma, no se sobrecalienta el equipo) Para los aficionados al gaming: Hasta ahora solo he corrido Dota2, con la configuración de graficos al máximo corre a 120 fps (en windows) En general, es un excelente producto y se puede apreciar notablemente el performance del mismo.

El equipo reunió todas mis expectativas: es bonito, rápido y su rendimiento muy bueno con los programas de información geográfica que ocupo. Lo mejor es la relación beneficio-costo ya que un equipo de éstas características es mucho más caro en tiendas departamentales en México (más bien, características más o menos similares porque esta versión del procesador aún no llega al país). El envío fue muy rápido, tardó tres días en llegar desde que salió de EEUU, el único punto en contra es que lo ordené en pre-venta y el primer stock lo agotaron muy rápido por lo que tuve que esperar poco menos de un mes para que atendieran mi pedido. El equipo llegó en excelentes condiciones y con todo funcionando al 100%, asimismo, otra ventaja que encontré en él es que pude configurar el teclado en español.
