Protect your investment
You've spent a bunch of money on a smart fitness device, don't skimp on its protection. The watch fits snugly inside of the Supcase and has a raised edge around the face to help protect the screen. The band also secures like a traditional watch, not like the weird band that comes with the Ionic. My last Fitbit was the Surge, and its band was neoprene and was very comfortable. Unfortunately, this band is a harder rubber like what you would find on an Ironman watch, but it seems very sturdy and durable. Also, it doesn't breath as well as the neoprene. If I loosen the band to give my wrist some room its too loose, so I have to deal with it. It's not the fault of the product; it's just the way it fits me personally. I have seen complaints about the case making the buttons hard to use, but I have not found this to be a problem. The buttons function fine with mine. It does take a little more effort, but not enough to be an issue. The second issue I have seen in other reviews is other people have had problems using a screen protector with the Supcase. Again, I have not had a problem with the case damaging my screen protector. I can't say why one person would have an issue and another wouldn't. It may be a variance in the product, the particular screen protector used, or maybe the protector wasn't installed correctly. Who knows? The bottom line is this; if my Fitbit outlasts this band, I will buy another.

Good Product for Active Lifestyle - 2nd Time Purchasing
So here's the scoop. I'm fairly active person and tough on watches. When I was give a Ionic as a gift I knew I had to get something that added some protections. I tried several options - clear plastic snap on cover that came in a three pack with different accent finishes, screen protector and the stock bands, SUPCASE with screen protector, and finally just the SUPCASE alone. Of all the combinations, the SUPCASE by itself is what I liked best. The SUPCASE doesn't play nice with the screen protectors if you have to remove the Ionic from the case to charge it. Eventually the screen protector starts to peel away and you have to replace it. I got tired of doing that every few weeks so I stopped putting on the screen protector. It is bulky. You gotta like the look or at least appreciate it. I'm not a huge fan of the style, but it is a tradeoff for the protection it offers. As the title indicates, this is my second one. The first one lasted a little over a year and then a crack developed in the lower left corner due to me having to take it out to charge it (more on that later). I live a pretty active lifestyle, hiking, skiing, fly fishing, camping, Crossfit, racing motocross. The band has done a great job protecting the watch in all those activities and I have not had any damage. I eventually purchased an older Alta HR to use when I race motocross because I didn't want to risk damaging the Ionic from getting roosted with rocks or crashing. The Ionic with the SUPCASE was bit too bulky for riding. The Alta is much smaller and narrower and FITBIT doesn't allow two of their newer models to access their app so I had to buy an older model so both could be on the app. Lame. FITBIT needs to change that nonsense. I figured a year of those activities was a pretty good run. It did seem to lose some pliability at the end so that may have lead to the crack. It was good enough in my opinion to by second one for the Ionic and a SUPCASE for my Alta. Charging Issue... You could leave the Ionic in the case to charge it with the provided charger, but a couple times I found the charger had come undone and the watch was not charged. I purchased a charging stand which I like better, but you have to remove the Ionic from the SUPCASE to charge it on the stand. The constant removal from the case is what eventually caused the crack. There you have it. An honest review after a year's worth of real world use. I included a pic of the new one. I had already tossed the old case before I wrote this review.

Great watch!
This watch case is heavy-duty and super protective. Perfect if you’re rough on your watch or outdoors a lot. It’s definitely durable and keeps everything safe from bumps and drops. Great value for the protection.

Protects Watch to the fullest
Overall, I have really liked this watch band. The leather on my old watch caused irritation to my wrist where as this watch band does not. This has really protected my watch well. Pros: Protects watch from drops or brushing up against hard objects I work in manufacturing environment and watch in great condition still Great customer service Aesthetically pleasing Easy access to all buttons Cons: Leather could be made more pliable to allow for easier bending Band broke where it was bending after taking it off 1-2 times per day for around a year.

Supcase is dope!!
I ordered the Supcase for my new Ionic to protect it and also I have a Supcase UB case for my smartphone. Let me say it didn't disappoint. Knowing how the case for my phone has protected and endured over the last 5 years, it helped me to continue to use the same phone and save money and hassels of buying a new phone. That said, this case for the Ionic is just as good. 1. I use the 6 pack IQ Liquidskin screen protector and the watch fits perfectly into the Supcase band. The screen protector is cheap and well worth the money. 2. This Supcase makes the Ionic look like a G Shock watch. Looks rugged and light giving it an overall protection. 3. Good for outdoor activities while saving your investment. 4. Easy installation and easy removal to switch bands. 5. I also bought the KIMLAR Ionic charging stand and it can charge my Ionic with the Supcase LEFT ON. It's only $10 here on Amazon. I wish this band comes in other colors like Grey or Gunmetal. That would be cool. I figure I will be leaving my Ionic in the Supcase most of the time. Other times, I can switch the bands or wear one of my other regular watches based on the occasion. Try this Supcase and go check out their phone cases and some comes with screen protector built in to protect that giant ass phone screen you got. It's very good and costs less than other name brands.

2-Year Update!!!
***2 Year Update*** This case has taken abuse over these 2 years of use from every day, 24-hour wearing! I'm a nurse at a hospital and this watch has taken countless washes with soap and cleanings with bleach as needed, especially when dealing with COVID-19 positive patients. I clean it frequently so that I can wear it literally all the time, even while sleeping. I love the battery life of the Ionic, which lets me use it for over a week straight before charge. I can't praise this watch case enough. I even got my family to buy some for their watch! The best aspect I like about this watch case is I did not ever have a screen protector and hardly have a scratch on my watch face. I can't count how many times I've bumped and smashed my wrist accidentally on corners and surfaces, some of which I thought my watch was doomed from. I highly recommend this inexpensive case to protect your investment. As I stated in my original review, for the price, the durability can't be beat. Alas, it was only a matter of time before the case material dried and broke down with all the cleanings and time in the sun. Today, I awoke to the band clasp torn. The internal hard frame was already cracked from recent trauma, but remained protective as intended. I will try to find something like a velcro cable tie to keep the extra band held down until a new case arrives. Thank you for the awesome product! It has truly seen some things in its lifetime. (End updated review) ------------------------ For the price, the durability cant be beat. No signs of cracking or fading after daily use. I only take my watch off to chsrge weekly. Showering and wiping down with clorox wipes have not dried it out. The black metal clips are still black and not faded or scuffed. I commonly bump the watch against door frames and other flat objects, but the raised edge of the case protects the face from any scuffs. The fit is snug and secure. Will not allow the watch to come out unless the band is removed from wearing.

Looks good, feels good, and comfortable to wear.
Just bought the SUPCASE, smf gor my own peace of mind, I have purchased and installed a screen protector. The design of the SUPCASE seems to have made the previous action a null effect as far as protecting the face of the watch is concerned. The watch fits well, no wiggle or movement at all. The buttons are easy to operate and the watch responds as well as before installing into band. Plenty of positions to select from on the band and once engaged the watch feels comfortable. I like the feel, look and wearability of the SUPCASE very much. I recommend this to anyone needing a black, adjustable, protective accessory for the FITBIT IONIC fitness watch. Thanks for an outstanding product at an outstanding price.

Pros and Cons to Consider!
I purchased this since it was an Amazon favorite and the reviews resonated with praises. My personal experience is a little more ambivalent, and here's why: Pros: - This band is durable and secure. Gone are the days where you may worry your FitBit could come detached amid an intense work-out, swimming session, or general use and abuse. The size is very adjustable, and odds are, if you're spending the extra money on an Ionic compared to alternative FitBit models, you're probably pretty active, and this band fits the bill for that. - It's pretty stylish. I can't imagine a lot of women would be enthusiastic about it, but as a man, it screams "masculinity", and I feel like I look tougher just wearing it. - Fit and finish is impressive for an aftermarket product. It looks like the FitBit was designed to be installed in a device like this as opposed to the stock bands, especially with the additional security and durability it provides. Cons: - The plastic/PVC used in construction isn't the highest quality. It's stiff and uncomfortable. Worse yet? It doesn't breathe at all. The band isn't suitable for extended wearing sessions, unless you're into developing weird rashes on your wrist and accumulating sweat. I find you can wear it for two days max, and then it needs an overnight break. Problem is, some of us like to track our sleep (or lack thereof). - Yes, it's a little bulky. It's somewhat reminiscent of the Casio calculator watches from back in the 80's, except even larger. It's almost like wearing a miniature arcade machine on your wrist. I find that overall, it's a compromise. I prefer the size of the original bands, along with the comfort, but prefer the durability and security of this design.
