The best grinder!

Slow but a mighty grinder
This was nearly impossible to manually crank so invest in the motor as well. I appreciate the ability to adjust grind size for breads or finer grain for pastry. It's a 2 cup hopper so plan on some time of making bread with 8 cups of flour for it is a slow process. Despite it's little size, it is an excellent choice if you're just starting out milling your own flour.

Motor did not work
Bought the kit and the motor doesnt even work after following the directions.

Failed quickly.
Seemed like a great little device. Our motor already stopped working completely less than two months later. I wish I could return it and buy a better mill.

Disappointed
I was so excited to get this mill. I wanted to start milling flour. It lasted not even a half hour. Per instructions, I ran white rice through mill to get rid of any metal slivers. Worked great 2 times. 3rd time I noticed the rice looked like shredded plastic, then the unit quit working. I had to take it apart to find the metal grinding gears had gotten warm, not explained in info, and caused the rice to actually melt hard to the gears. Maybe this was a common sense thing abt the metal gears, but I honestly didn't think anything about this happening. Had to soak for over 30 minutes in super hot water and eventually use my nails to pry off the melted rice. The motor also quit working. It no longer would fit in the slot tightly and turn the metal grinding gears. I followed the instructions implicitly and this still happened. FYI metal grinding gears will get warm when used,so adjust you grinding accordingly. I did return the unit and motor, since they stopped working and have since purchased a flour mill with grinding wheels.

Both manual and electric. Comes with directions. Works well for hard white wheat berries.

Does the job!
First one got stuck and had to exchange it. New one works well and grinds red wheat berries to a fine flour. I like it so far!!
