ARC-WK-TYPENEX Window Kit for ARC-1030WN, ARC-1230WN, ARC-1230WNH

I would give it 10 stars if I could! Fits the Midea duo I got from Costco like a glove, and it’s much much sturdier than the one that came with the Midea. If you have a large sliding window or a sliding door within the height specs, this is the product for you. Perfect for my 63 inch sliding window. True it doesn’t come with bolts but standard screws worked great.

This works great with money Midea Duo air conditioner.

Ok a little rant first. I got my Midea duo from an outlet as a open box item last summer. It was missing the window kit and I simply cut some plastic board roughly to fit its vent. It worked but was not perfect. And it always ugly. I really wish Midea would just sell the window kit replacement in a more affordable price. Yes you can buy one but $60-90 for a portable ac window kit? Really? I understand there is no incentive for Midea to sell the window kit cheaply to promote reuse - they need to sell new items to make money. Still, for a product line that is so heavily emphasized on its energy efficiency, I do think it will be a good gesture if Midea makes it more second hand friendly. Ok end of my rant. Sorry. What I want to say is, yes, it also fits Midea duo portable AC's "hose in hose" style vent! For a fraction of the price! However, do notice that it only comes with the three panels as depicted. No short panel, no other fitting hardware. If your window (like mine) is just a bit longer than a single panel, it won't work out of the package because the overlapping long panels will block the pre-cut hole. You can, however, chose to cut a panel short to make it fit, or you can cut another softer plastic board to make your own short panel. The important thing here is that pre-cut hole fits the vent perfectly.

Window kit is ONLY the panels. Where in the world will I get the screw pins though? Please be advised mine did not come with them and they're hard to find, ... I still haven't found them. I agree with a previous comment that having 3 slider panels is cool though because I have a sliding door and with the pins I would be able to have it fit nicely. In the meantime... duck tape?

Works as should

The plugs to put it together are missing. But on the plus side it includes 3 pieces, so it can get longer than expected (82"). Too bad I need to find some screws to be able to put it together.

This is the best AC unit I've ever had. It works great. It's quiet. Love the inverter, this thing will freeze you out. Easy to put together awesome. This is my second one. The first one I had in my rv, which worked great, but I sold it with my R. V Do not pass this one up. Not a bad choice
