Earlier ones I use there is always scope for losing the cap. Now it's good and not worry about cap. Use for office work

The glue is good. There is an internally placed pin which keeps the orifice closed when the red cap at the top is screwed tight. When that cap is unscrewed a little, it moves up and the orifice opens. The squeezed out glue can be evenly spread with the smooth round side of the red cap.
