I was interested in this scanner as it scans both pictures and negatives, but I was concerned about comments that it can’t scan slides, I decided to take the plunge and buy it anyway, I am so glad I did. It’s a great scanner that enabled me to scan 2000 negatives with ease and brought back to life photographs which had long been destroyed. After some trial and error, I scanned 200 of the thick plastic slides. The trick is to ensure that the slides are seated at the top (towards the hinge) of the slide holder, then they feed through fine. As for the comment that the scanner scans back to front, those of you who have worked with negatives will realise that that’s just silly. 🙄 All in all, a great scanner that’s well worth the money.

The area that you place your photos on is thin plastic. This means that the photos stick to the plastic, and in doing so scratches. The image is taken by a mirror effect, meaning that the photo is actually saved back to front. So if you had a photo, let's say "happy birthday" you would then have the saved image stating "yadhtrib yppah" Overall quality of the device is poor, I question the quality of sensor and would suspect a better method would be using a phone

To copy on to SD card provided is easy. Haven't yet transferred to PC to make prints.

I bought a few negative scanners and they were rubbish - even expensive ones. I took a chance on this and expected it to be ok but not great, bit of it was rubbish, I could return it. It's not. It's very good. The colour is more accurate than others I've tried and the focus and detail were the best of any I've used so far. It's a bit more bulky than some others but frankly, I'd prefer bulky and good to small and low quality.

Great machine to get old negatives onto my PC, it works much better than I expected and my old photos are clear and are bringing back lots of great memories of my children, I am really happy with this purchase.

What a gem this is, creates high quality digital images of old photos, negatives. Really enjoyed, it could be further enhanced with more negative holding sizes for older negatives.

Bought to digitise my father in laws extensive slide collection however this will not take the thicker slides, been looking for an adaptor to use with this but so far not found one

I don't know if the machine itself functions well but I do know that it arrived looking like someone had kicked it down a gravel driveway. The scratches go beyond "cosmetic" and a deep gauges throughout the product but most importantly on the scanning bed. 22mp of scratches you can barely see your picture through. Load of rubbish
