These ice molds are convenient for making large ice cubes. I measure them at 8 in. x 4 in. I placed one of the ice blocks in my small (6 pack) ice chest and it kept my drinks cool all day. The molds are very pliable, so it's easy to remove the ice block

Well, you can put it water in it, put it in your freezer, and get a big blob of frozen water with it. It will not be a nice rectangle, but it works great in a large cooler. The shape is hard to work around in a smaller cooler. The material is just too thin to support this much water.
