Grandson built over a few days, one part missing but we did okay. Once built, it is fragile, but secure enough. It does operate but snapped together - it is not meant to be a high precision engine - parts fly off, connections separate. It is a toy that operates.

He had no issues building this & it works! Very cool project for his 1st engine build.

Decided to try this and I’m glad I did. Super fun to put together. It went together very smooth, pieces fit perfect. Might even try a couple more. Would recommend it for teenage or older not little kids.

I got this fir Christmas and its a cool display item but the valves like to come out and its annoying to fix but overall its a great item and I would recommend

Missing parts.... Unclear instructions....

This was really neat to watch my son as he tried to navigate putting this together. Quality time together achieved!

I'd give it negative stars, but I can't. Junk from the beginning, missing parts, instructions are terrible and show different things on different pages. Doesn't fit together well and just all around waste of money. DO NOT BUY

nice little engine no parts missing. what i did since i do not plan to take apart was i clued my sprockets when i made sure everythng was right plus i took a link out of the chain, runs like it should. now i am going to put engine sound from an old rc truck i have that has a mode for engine sound i think i will buy a bigger one now, was a nice little project very pleased with the price and product cheers

I bought this when it was on sale for $49.99, and for the price, you can’t go wrong. The quality of the pieces themselves are pretty good and compare to actual Lego brand, though I had a few tight pieces I really had to force. Also had one shaft that was missing but thankfully there was an extra longer one, which I trimmed down to fit. I’ve heard of people missing multiple pieces, thankfully I didn’t end up with that issue. Some of the assemblies feel a little awkwardly designed and were a bit of a pain getting together without breaking part of it, but in the end was worth the challenge. Took me around 3hrs I think.
