This Hot Tools 2” extended barrel curling iron is a fantastic find. For the price, it feels like a professional-quality tool that delivers beautiful loose waves and volume without a lot of effort. The large barrel makes it easy to create soft, relaxed bends, and the 24K gold surface heats evenly and glides smoothly through hair. It holds a curl really well and doesn’t leave my hair feeling fried. The extended barrel is especially nice for longer hair. Really happy with this purchase — solid performance and a great value. Highly recommend if you want easy, natural-looking waves.

This is the best curling iron I have ever had ! Although I have a lot of hair, it’s very fine and curly-frizzy, and about shoulder length. Every other curling iron left dents in my hair.. but not this one. It grips the hair and is easy to roll. Now I have smooth, shiny hair with just the right amount of lift and shape. And it stays that way for 2-3 days. This is a first for me. I for the 2” barrel. Unlike other irons I’ve had this has a ginger hole at the end of the iron that makes it easy to hold the iron at the angle I want without burning my finger. Tip: I did buy a pair of silicone ear covers so I do not burn my ears. I love them too.

I love it! I'm a beginner at curling my own hair, normally I've only ever flat ironed it to make it sleek and straight. Im naturally slightly wavy, medium thickness hair (leans more coarse) and a lot of it, and i feel like this iron is very easy for someone new to curling and with a lot of hair. Heats up pretty fast. Picture isn't perfect because I am pretty new to doing it on myself but it definitely makes a smooth curl!

Hot tools are the best. Top quality and easy to set the correct temperature. Its easy to use and this is the second one I purchased. Hot Tools hold up well and will continue to purchase them

I owned a cheapo 25-30$ iron and a cheapo Conair curling wand prior to this. I only bought this to replace my last iron because I electrically fried it when I took it internationally (oops)... My complaints after 3 days: This curling iron doesn't hold heat well at all; almost as if the heat is only maintained superficially, so once it comes in contact with hair, it's like the heat is lost. The effect is that the curling iron doesn't maintain a steady temperature, and it doesn't stay warm enough consistently for heat to penetrate the entire hair. With my previous curling iron, I only needed to use a 320 degree setting to maintain a good curl, but now I am having to keep this thing past 380-400 degrees to barely get a wave, and none of the curls are holding. My hair is straight after half the day... It also doesn't glide smoothly along the hair. Despite it being a similar design to my last iron, it catches and pulls on my hair WITH NO PRODUCT. It is painful and kind of traumatizing to use because I never know when I am going to get pulled by the iron, and I have a sensitive scalp. Never an issue with my last iron. Also, because it keeps catching my hair even when I am guiding it, it doesn't allow the hair to flatten along the iron properly. I can't do movements or techniques that were so natural with my last iron. Overall, I'm really disappointed with this product and regret buying it. I wasn't able to test if it works internationally. The only redeeming quality I can come up with is that I haven't burned myself - which isn't much of a celebration because it wasn't a problem to begin with. The only reason I am not returning this for a refund is because I don't feel comfortable returning personal care items. My complains after several weeks: I am still disappointed in this purchase. I can see that the ends of my hair are getting damaged and feeling dry, even though my curls are not holding. This was never an issue with my cheap curler. I am going to put this one in my suitcase for international travel or emergencies, and get a different one. I do not recommend this for medium to fine hair.

I love it it's great and gives the best results. It heats up very fast, and it has a holder to not burn the surface you put it on. The only problem is you can easily burn your skin because of how hot and big it is and how it doesn't have a comfortable space for the hand

This is definitely not an extended barrel. It’s just a regular size. I have extended barrel from hot tools and this is way short to buy a couple inches. Also, it says that it’s professional. This is just the regular one. I do have a professional one and the states professional on the toilet itself so I don’t really buy it that it’s professional. It seems too flimsy.

Love this curling iron. The only brand I will ever buy! The gold plating helps protect my hair (I curl my hair every day), and the dual voltage means I do not need to carry heavy converters when I travel! The cord is also nice and long, and the swivel on it keeps it from tangling.
