Barbie Looks Ken Doll, Collectible No. 25 with Curly Black Hair & Modern Y2K Fashion, Chartreuse Tee & Pastel Trousers with Silver Boots

Dolls have come a long way since I was a kid! This Ken doll is a beautiful dark brown that's a fairly good representation of Black skin, with lots of articulation and a very muscular sculpt. His clothes actually have stitching details and are well made, though the outfit's not to my personal taste. I mostly got him because I loved his rooted hair and the handsome face mold and paint job. His hair is lovely and soft, and I cannot stress how lovely his features are in person. There ARE two small injection mold marks on the front of his biceps that I wish had been smoothed, but he'll eventually go in some vintage Ken clothes so I don't mind. He's definitely worth the price point, and I love that he came with a doll stand to help him stay in some fun action poses!

Love this darling boy! I wish they made more of them! Well made and sturdy, the girl dolls were drooling when I got him out of the box. He definitely has his pick of the ladies here. Good thing he’s a proper gentleman.

5 STARS [out of five]! So happy with this purchase! As an avid doll collector, I LOVE this new addition to the Barbie Signature Looks series. The skin tone matches Barbie Signature Looks #4 doll [and other recent & similar toned Ken dolls], so this expands the options for custom & OOAK doll artists. The only caveat is that the hair *reroot* is not consistent. I've purchased three and some dolls have more hair [as in a fuller, curly fro] than others. Some hair seems more matted/flat [before deboxing] and messy. Not a major complaint, just noting subtle differences among the dolls, as there can be some variation from the factory. Happy to note that the doll that I unboxed had stiff joints [and not looser leg joints similar to some from the Signature Looks #4 that I received during that doll's inaugural release.] Overall, well made & well worth the opening price! If you're interested, purchase it while still in stock and at a Mattel retail [and reasonable] price. Secondary vendors [on competing sites, etc.] are already listing Ken #25 at [sometimes] double & three times the price. Ken Signature Looks #25 is a great Ken doll investment to add to your collection. Will be purchasing more for my doll enthusiasts!

Superb quality body. I use them for customizing and they are awesome. Great quality head as well. They verge on being action figures rather than dolls with the enhanced articulation. Hope Mattel makes more of these.

Despite the plain and boring outfit, this doll has some amazing articulation- but the best part of all is that he has an amazing buff chiseled doll body. He also has some amazing rooted hair, which is a huge plus over sculpted plastic hair. He would be a great base for any doll artist, or a great dude doll to style.

Muscles! He's in my sewing room flexing for the ladies. The clothes are nothing to get excited about, but he's got the great made to move body and "real" hair (not plastic or flocking). I think I got him to do a hair reroot... Because I saw one that was so cool I wanted to try it. But as is, he's definitely worth adding to the collection. I think we need some Hispanic and Asian "Kens". I like hetero doll couplings... 😄
