Brilliant... other reviewers negatives addressed!
This is a brilliant camera, the images I have captured are as good as those from my X-T5. Some other reviwers negatives addressed (my personal opinion of course) 1. No viewfinder, well yes but you soon adapt to that and the discreteness of it in a street situation more than makes up 2. Dust, not an issue with me yet, I have put a metal lens cover on it to protect it in my pocket. 3. Weather sealing, yes this is a concern and I wish it was weather sealed but if it affected size or price hmmmm? 4. Poor video, the video is OK but I do not use it anyway, to be honest if they brought out a stills only version and spent the savings on weather sealing that would be great. 5. Battery life, the batteries are small so just carry a spare, not an issue and if it keeps the size down great. I love this camera, a pocket powerhouse and a solid 9/10

The best camera is the one you have with you.
They say the best camera is the one you have with you; and thanks to it's size, the RICOH GR IIIx HDF is that camera. The GRIIIx is far more portable than a DSLR with multiple lenses, yet still capable of capturing truly amazing pictures on the go. It genuinely fits into a pocket, making it an unparalleled portable option, and something you take with you anywhere. For anyone considering a Ricoh GR, the primary decision often revolves around the lens: the 28mm vs. the 40mm. I ultimately chose the 40mm (GR IIIx) as it felt like the perfect balance for my needs – sitting nicely between a 28mm and a 50mm. While 50mm is a focal length I often enjoy, it can sometimes be a bit too "close" for certain street or candid shots. The 40mm offers that versatile sweet spot. It also complements the lens options on my phone (25mm and 113mm), giving me a much better, well-rounded choice of on-the-go focal lengths while carrying minimal kit. (Sure, phone quality won't match, but it's about having options!) The quality of the photos from the GR IIIx HDF good enough that you can easily crop in if needed, providing flexibility in post-processing. However, the fixed focal length also subtly encourages a more deliberate and creative approach to your shots. It pushes you to "zoom with your feet" and put more thought into composition, making the whole photographic experience more exciting and rewarding. I've taken this camera on several holidays where I simply wouldn't have bothered bringing a larger camera, and as a result, I've captured countless great memories that would otherwise have been missed. It's clear to me why the Ricoh GR series is such a beloved camera among the photography community – it's a testament to powerful image quality in a truly pocketable form factor. It's fair to say I've fallen in love with Ricoh's cameras.

Love this little camera.. it’s as good as they say!
Got this based on the various reviews and recommendations surrounding the Ricoh. Excellent little camera that has come in extremely handy for travel. I use a Fujifilm XT4 as my main camera but wanted something more portable and this fits the bill. Recipes similar to Fuji system and once you watch a few YouTube videos you can familiarise yourself with the Ricoh quite quickly. Fixed lens focus, HDF works a treat. Really is quite a small package that packs a punch! Would recommend to anyone wanting a smaller system that still has lots of functionality, either as a primary camera or secondary compact kit.

Best camera in its class
* * Pros: Extremely portable and convenient, comparable in weight to large smartphones. Powerful camera in a tiny package, combining portability with professional-level image quality. Sharp lens, comparable to my Sigma 85mm. Amazing image quality and great colours; easy to grade RAW files. Access to Ricoh colour presets on Lightroom for consistent colours. Built-in HDF/Mist filter for creative options without post-processing. Versatile 40mm focal length for street, travel, and everyday photography. Film recipes provide an easy workflow and fun shooting experience. Enjoyable shooting experience with character. Supportive and helpful Ricoh community. Fun to experiment with recipes and filters for creativity. * Cons: Small batteries, don’t last long, especially with heavy use. No viewfinder or EVF. Heats up quickly, especially when using recipes. Autofocus is not as fast or reliable as similarly priced APS-C interchangeable lens cameras. No weather sealing, be careful in adverse conditions. Display could be brighter and sharper, though usable in daylight (typical London weather). Camera doesn’t handle fast SD cards well, sometimes files fail to save; slower cards are more reliable. Internal storage is tiny, about 2GB, holds ~40 RAW images. Sometimes the HDF is far too strong.

Blown away
Absolutely amazing camera, the quality of the images is exceptional. I can carry this anywhere so his increased my chances of taking pictures and grabbing those fleeting moments that produce something special. The HDF feature is something I rarely use but in the right conditions can turn something average into brilliant.

Love this camera
This has got to be my favourite camera ever. Small yet powerful, the quality is excellent. I love the recipes and use this as a permanent feature. Beware, battery life is poor.

Overhyped expensive camera.
A good quality camera but overhyped. I found it wasn’t a great improvement over my old Fuji XF10, I tried my best to like it but didn’t gel with it. In my opinion it’s grossly overpriced, for that sort of money you can get a Sony RX100 VII which is a lot more versatile, has a proper viewfinder, zoom lens and flash. It only has a 1” sensor but there are few occasions you would miss the larger sensor. I already had the Sony; I sent the Ricoh back.

As new to photography, I managed to finally buy iii x hdf after long time and I got best deal on Amazon Australia. Edit: I need to return the camera as iii x focal length is too tight for me to frame pictures.
