Razer BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless PlayStation Gaming Headset, Black

As a audiophile I wasn’t sure what to expect especially after doing research and reading so many varied reviews so here my honest opinion from various use (mostly music and for work/phone calls all day). Arrived fully charged and was super easy to setup. Just know they are “only” wireless and no backup 3.5mm or USB audio connection (can only charge and no audio connection which is a flaw in my opinion). They are very nice quality and pretty much resemble airline/cockpit cans/headsets, lol. They don’t save your height/adjustments but are on smooth arms along each side and very easy to adjust. I wouldn’t say they are light nor heavy either so a very good balance. Maybe a bit tight grip over the ears but not enough to be a bother. So you are able to wear them all day for work, like I do, and are very comfortable. The mic is one of the best there is (it’s between these and the Beyerdynamic MMX300), and just great quality. As for audio quality they are good but not great (the Beyerdynamic ones are way better but missing crucial feature like the app/eq control). They have good top end and highs but seriously lacking in the lows (as expected with Bluetooth/wireless only connections) so just know that going into it. And one of their best features is the app/software and being able to fine tune both the listening eq as well as the mic eq, adjust the volume of hearing yourself in the mix, and see status/battery levels…All of which are missing from others that might have better audio quality but missing all of those extra features (looking at you Beyerdynamic, lol). So if you don’t need high resolution/high fidelity then these are just about the best there is right now.

Popping and crackling feedback while using the wireless dongle. Since its a dedicated USB-C dongle that comes with the headset, any interference is unacceptable. People say the microphone gives clear audio quality, ear cups are cloth instead of pleather so they should degrade.

The good first! The headset has extraordinary voice cancelation. The mic quality is as good as it get for a headset. Incredible sound quality as well. Most of all, the battery life is amazing. I hardly remember to charge it because it can be weeks of casual use before it hits the red. Negative: The noise cancelation can be too good. I'm someone who needs to hear myself talk to form words correctly. I find myself slurring my words because the noise cancelation is so good I cant hear myself talk. Or anyone else needing my attention in the room. At this price level, I think it would be nice to have a room monitoring feature so you can hear your actual surroundings if needed. My other issue is as great as the mic quality is, you really dont get that out of the box without making EQ adjustments with the Razor App. The default EQ makes you sound nazelly and tinny. It wasnt until recently I had to do research to discover the adjustable EQ. Which btw... doesnt have live feedback for adjustments. So you have to pair the headset to your phone, adjust the EQ, pair back to your PS5, then you can hear what your change did. Took a good minute to dial it in. For all I know, those two complaints could be user error. I might just be an idiot. So if thats the case, than an easy 5 stars.

Esta bien pero.. deberia traer un adaptador de tipo C a tipo A para el wifi, lo adquiri para PC pero la computadora no tiene ese adaptador por lo que debo buscar donde adquirir uno con la esperanza de que funcione,.

This takes gaming to another level. So light it's almost part of my head, sound quality is excellent and the noise canceling is amazing! Battery life is longer than I can sit in one spot for and the controls are easy to use. Connectivity is easy and so is the set up. If you are using it on a PS5, I highly recommend setting up the 3D sound.

EXCELLENT headset, broadcast quality mic! The PS version has the EQ app on your smartphone, so you don't have to worry about having Razer software (or Windows) installed. Works amazing on linux! Way more comfortable than the newer V3X headset (last gen premium vs new gen mid-range). Sound quality is excellent Saves EQ to headset from android app!
