Fiio Ka11 impressive small DAC . I love it and I got now Btr15( for home and audiocar)
I 'm very pleased and satisfied with this DAC. It' s incredible how good my simple akg in ear sounds now (like a 100 dollars headphone) . Sound quality is really high with an affordable price only it gets some hot and consume battery from my Phone but it 's really whorty.

small powerhouse DAC very good sound, better than KA13, Jcally AP6, and so much cheaper.
Amazing! I have a Jcally AP6, Fiio KA13, Fiio QX13 and although the QX13 sounds better the KA11 is by far much louder and very close. While the QX13 is slightly cleaner and has better soundstage, and has an PEQ its also nearly 10x the price. Compared to the Jcally and Fiio KA13, the sound quality to me, is nearly equal to the KA13 and to me better than the Jcally, while being much louder. I have IEMs and the other DACs driving those are a toss up, but driving my Sennheiser HD560s the other ones are soft, i have to max out the volume control or get close to it, the KA11 is a little over half to have the same volume. At $35...to me its hard to beat. Its get loud enough to drive my Hifiman Edition XS ok.

1 Star – Terribly fragile build. Do NOT buy if you actually move around while listening.
Do not waste your money on this if you plan to keep your phone in your pocket or use it on the go. The FiiO KA11 sounds fine on paper, but the built-in, non-detachable cable is a massive single point of failure. Within weeks of normal, light use, the internal wiring near the USB-C strain relief started cutting out. The slightest flex or nudge causes the DAC to drop connection, make loud clicking/popping sounds, and constantly cycle through resetting and reconnecting. Because the cable isn't removable, when the internal wire degrades, the entire $30+ unit becomes useless e-waste. Save yourself the headache and buy a portable DAC with a detachable USB cable instead so you don't get stuck with a broken dongle right after the return window closes. Completely unreliable hardware.

Can tell a huge difference between this and others
This 3.5mm audio to USB-C dongle works great and does exactly what I needed it to do. It was simple to plug in and use, with no complicated setup required. Audio quality has been clear, and it has been reliable every time I've used it. The build quality feels solid, and it's a convenient solution for using wired headphones or other 3.5mm audio devices with a USB-C device. A simple accessory that works as expected and is easy to recommend.

Good sound and power -non replaceable cable
KEY TAKEAWAY, good sound and power BUT cable is starting to die at 6 months. I really like how much power this thing packs for its size and portability, to get that much power it does get a bit toasty and it does take a chunk of your battery life as well. A major flaw is that the cable is not replaceable so when it goes like mine is right now, the whole dac is toast. Overall I think it was a good spend, lasted about 6 months of rough use (probably longer than an Apple dongle) and is more capable than similar products.

Great purchase!
Works perfectly with my iPhone and has enough power to drive the Fiio FT1. It seems to be very neutral, not coloring the sound in any way. When conecting the FT1 to my Yamaha AS501 the bass becomes too overwhelming. Not so with the KA11. The only negative is that it is quite power hungry and drains the battery when connected even when not in use.

The FIio ka11 gives you a lot of audio power for headphones & IEMs such a small little device.
The Fiio KA11 Is pretty damn good. You will be able to hear your content on your smartphone or USB audio provided laptop. Just remember that Android sets it audio to 48 khz + Windows 11 will select its own preferred level, but it can do like it said. 384 khz at 32-bit audio. Also, your headphones might also tell the dongo what its capabilities are in the audio chain. And yes you can use the fiio control app to change the settings of the filters and other information and if you have older technology that uses UAC one, you can switch it from UAC 2 to comply Or to use the audio in the classic way that Windows allows you to? I haven't done it with Android yet. But if you do switch and then switch back. Just remember you have to delete the profile of the dongle in the app and then reconnect + restart your Android phone so it gets a fresh connection of the dongle when you switch between UAC one and two. This headphone dongle also provides you with better sound quality than a lot of cheap dongles, especially if you're still rocking the old pixel dongle from several years ago. Basically it's like connecting your head headphones or iems to a amplifier because you Can get a high volume of audio without needing to jack up the percentage to maximum. I find that on the pixel 9 that 80% is a sweet spot with the ka11. Also if you have good headphones these can power easy the drive headphones as well as hard to drive headphones. The sound quality is Is a little bit warm. Warm but not overpowering the bass frequencies which is good for a heavy dialogue content like traditional television programming. The ka11 can accept modern programming audio as well as audio from standard stereo and mono audio as long as it's from a digital source that it can process into analog. Sometimes if you're watching YouTube, you noticed a lot of semblance but that's because of the way the video was recorded, not because of the dongle. Also it is power hungry so it might drain your battery a little bit. The compatibility is with USBC devices. The connection quality is pretty good. This dongle is small enough to fit into a pocket. This is an audio product so there is no picture quality issues. UPDATE my ka11 dongle died basically 4 months later. I heard a pop sound and then my pixel 9 stop sending the dongle power because light wasn't even on. I troubleshooted like restarting the phone, putting it in safe mode, turning on and off the USB C Audio routing nothing. At least on my Asus a16. It did send power to the dongle but it had trouble with the handshake + flickering of the LED + for a moment it connected but it had trouble changing the audio quality. It struggled to change from cyon to yellow. Of your own free will be aware that the ka11 has multiple users across many use cases has seen this audio dongle fail on them. And no, this wasn't a upgrade issue because this was already with the newest upgrade directly out of the package. Most likely a capacitor or some other a component failed because the dongle probably got too hot too many times. I used my fiio ka11 nearly daily too. When it did work it worked pretty good with the good sound quality For my edifier W800BT plus headphones. Remember this is a lower budget dongle. Update 2 just wait several hours because the dongle either is doing a protected mode AKA overheating or had moisture in the device, especially if you were outdoors or it might be stressed out from an overload. But usually waiting several hours or overnight usually solves the issue of the dongle blinking and not behaving correctly and connecting so I raised my score back up to four stars. Most people that think it's cheap or defective might have thrown away. A perfectly useful device once it dried out or cooled off. 3rd update: I just paired these with the edifier wh950nb b. Gen 2 and the fiio ka11 actually make the headphones work extremely well especially in passive mode when the headphones are turned off and not using the DSP. Basically it's unrestrictive and because of the headphones are easy to drive. Sometimes you may have to lower the volume to like 35% to 50%, especially if you have a hot signal like from TuneIn Radio or a high quality audio stream like from Spotify or music choice app. But then when you use the wh950nb Gen. 2. With it on the dsp limits the what the ka11 can do. But the only major reason you would want the headphones turned on. Is it you want a restrictive sound signature or use the ANC on the edifier wh950nb Gen 2 headphones. Make sure you use the fiio control app to change the filters of the ka11 because it also changes how much base and treble is coming through in off wired mode . Just remember that the wh950nb Gen2 can use all the frequencies that the ka11 can provide if not restricted by the DSP. So an extra few dollars for this High-Res USB C to 3.5 mm dongle can make your life much more enjoyable with your headphones, especially if your headphones are certified hi-res and hi-res wireless. And like I said, the ka11 can output a lot of power into a good pair of headphones like the wh950nb Gen 2 if you'll allow it. Final update: The fiio ka11 died yesterday May 8th 2026 and I had purchased it on September 20th 2025 from Amazon. Now it just lights up the LED and basically there's no data handshake anymore and both my pixel 9 and the Asus a16 tuf AMD advantage gaming laptop from 2023 cannot detect the proper handshake of the ka11. The computer can detect that a USB device is connected but it can't determine what it is anymore. Otherwise it worked perfectly like I said before except for an issue in October when it overheated. And no it's not my technology. That's default because my Google dongle you know the white one that came with the pixel lineup like during the pixel 2 and 3 era still works but is it not high-res audio quality.

Clean, FULL sounding DAC. Excellent choice for use with mobile phones.
Highly recommend this DAC. When the CD changer in my 2008 Honda Accord quit reading CDs I wanted to be able to listen to something other than just the radio. I have Spotify premium and an iPhone 15, and this is how I listen to music 99% of the time. Only problem, the car stereo was made just before Bluetooth became standard, so I couldn't stream to the stereo that way. The solution? Simply use the Aux jack, but OF COURSE the headphone jack had been retired a long time ago by Apple. The solution? A DAC that could convert the digital signal from the phone's USB C port the analogue signal to be sent to the Aux jack (or you could use your favorite wired headphones if you want to do that.) This worked GREAT...as a church cantor, sometimes I'll listen to a recording of the music I'm going to be singing that week in the car, and the choir vocals are clear, the pipe organ rich and full. Keep in mind this is simply being sent to the OEM stereo of a 2008 Honda. I can imagine how awesome it would sound if I actually had a quality aftermarket stereo in that car. It also reveals that car manufacturers often cheap out on the DAC portion of their sound system. Anytime you stream Bluetooth, play a CD or plug your phone in using USB to your car's sound system, that sound system has to do the conversion from digital to analogue requiring a DAC inside the unit to perform that job. If that DAC is poor quality, you the sound will be lot thinner, not as detailed and less balanced. However, you can skip the car's DAC if you do that conversion from your phone into a device such as this and then plug an aux cable into the aux jack of your CAR. This means you're only making use of the CARS analogue amplification, but you fed that system a much higher quality sound to begin with. Sure, you can get the one of the el cheapo DACs that sell for $5 but you'll get what you paid for. Bass will be weak, sound far less detailed. Your car's DAC may even be better in this scenario (assuming you can plug your phone into a USB port in your car, an option that is not available in the 2008 Accord.) Get this device and find out what you've been missing in your recordings. Oh yeah...I also recommend this Aux cable if using in your car: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BFRFJQJ?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1

A Good Steal & a Bargain!
Sheeezzzz!!!! I am now going back to wire headphones 😁… sounds louder & better! clearer vocals! and mid-range are top caliber. Thanks to this bloody gem! This is a must to all Headphones! Gen. X’s let’s volt in! So easy to set-up, just bloody connect to any latest mobile phone devices and that’s it. I’m using my Sony’s WH-1000XM6 Headphone + connected to my iPhone16 Pro Max. Just a reminder, you can’t use or connect to Sony’s Sound Connect app when using your FiiO KA11 USB dongle. But I think you don’t need tweaks for EQ to get a better sounds. The sounds coming out are great. I am so thrilled & overjoyed having this! Best Buy indeed.
