Hamilton Beach 6-Speed Electric Hand Mixer With Easy Clean Beaters

I've had many electric mixers but none compare to the superior quality of this Hamilton Beach 6 speed hand mixer. It has a nice weight to it but not heavy & powerful enough to handle thick batters with a 'quick burst' if needed. Included are 2 easy clean beaters, 2 regular metal beaters, 2 dough hooks & a whipping attachment. Having the storage case is a plus so everything is kept together when you're ready to use. The cord is almost 4' long & the convenience of leaning the mixer on the bowl without falling is a blessing. Can't say enough good things about it's performance & with a 5 year warranty, in my opinion I see it lasting a lifetime! Highly recommend!!!

I LOVE how this includes everything I'm looking for, in attachments - but let's start with the easy clean paddles?!!!! AMEN!! Let's go!!!! And yes, oddly in my search for an electric handmixer, many out there just DO NOT have all the standard attachments! I needed something with whisk, beaters, and dough hook. And yet many only have 1 or even 2 of those 3 basic options!! SO weird. Comparatively to an older HB mixer I had that was black, this one is LOADS better. The motor even feels more evenly balanced, I'm not fighting against it all over the bowl, by its own will to travel, haha!! Also, the older mixer model I had really could not keep up with any dough-hooking movement at all, the motor would start smoking. But THIS one, I can actually use the dough hooks for bread mixing, etc!! I am careful not too push it too much or anything, but it is able to work, and I am just so greatful!! Only so much you can get out of any ehm for mixing doughs! Strangely, many stand mixers don't seem to be a lot better, so I'm glad I just went with this :) Even my whipped cream seems to be a lot more awesome, because of this machine!!! So wild what a difference a model makes. On that note, it's why I had to buy a new mixer - while I was making whipped cream on my older model, the whisk loops were literally snapping off and breaking. I know I've had it for years, but wow!! Wasn't prepared for that. Hopefully that will not be a recurring issue, or it will be available to buy separately. I'm not sure if the cause of that was the metal composition, or the fact that it's held in with plastic. But now, I'm going to handwash the whisk at all times, to avoid this happening again, just in case it can't handle the dishwasher, well. I don't use the storage box to assemble it all together every time, that's too much hassle. I keep the machine beside, so I don't have to deal with the cord, and I just use the storage for all the pieces. I considered many brands and many reviews, and decided to stick with HB, and I'm so glad I did!! I just don't trust the other ones, and this definitely paid off. By the way, I am an at-home baker starting a small business with this, so I hope it shall last a very long time!! It's a great upgrade to what I had, before, and before anything of a bigger scale.

I waited until I used this mixer at least a half-dozen times before reviewing. Right off I was pleased with the color (blue) and the storage thingy. The wife was wowed by the color, and it isn't too girly for my tastes. I hate having to fish around in a drawer for attachments and I hate having to deal with appliance cord storage in our limited kitchen cupboards. Both pet complaints solved! I thought the mixer and storage might be top heavy, but they're not. And, the way the mixer snaps in, there's no worry about keeping things together, provided you make sure the mixer is well snapped in. The only minor complaint is things are tight in there. Jockeying all the blades and the cord to get everything to fit is a little bit of a chore. I feel like they could have made it just a bit deeper. Also, the chord has to do a sharp U-Turn to fold back into the storage compartment. There's a strain relief there (a good thing), but that also makes the cord stick out from the side about three inches when storing. No big deal. The silicone paddle mixers are awesome. They work way better than blades for most tasks and clean up is a breeze. I didn't think the single whisk attachment would work well, but it's fine. It took care of whipped cream like a champ. The dough hooks work excellent and save a lot of kneading time. I haven't tried the standard "blade" mixers - no need. I haven't had problems with spattering as long as I use an appropriate bowl. I do always wonder why handheld mixers don't have a much lower low speed, but it's manageable with the speeds it has, especially since the silicone paddles don't throw up as much stuff. It's a bit noisier than I'd like, but every budget hand mixer I've had is noisy - most are noisier than this one. All-in-all, I'm totally satisfied for this at the price I paid for it.

I'll start with the only thing I don't like. The "slow start" is not slow. This little dude will whip it, and whip it good. I primarily got it for mixing cookie dough since my Kitchen Aid pushes the butter off to the sides, and it's a pain to keep scooping it back to the middle. I also wanted something to have as a back up when the motor inevitably gives up from mixing dough. This little mixer serves its purpose well! The easy clean attachments are great. Easy to scrape and to wash. I did purchase some deep mixing bowls that will prevent any of the minimal splatter from the intense start power. I don't think it will be an issue with the correct bowls. I haven't used it for anything besides creaming butter and mixing cookies, but I have no doubts it's going to perform perfectly for mixing heavy dough or whipping cream. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because the "slow start" is still a bit more than I would like. Too bad there's no throttle or something of the like. For recipes that you don't want to overmix, this might not be an appropriate tool.

Great hand-held mixer. I use it consistently when I don't want to pull out my stand mixer, which is often. It has fully blended any batter I have made, cleans up easily, and takes up very little space when packed away.

You get what you pay for. I had a Hamilton Beach electric hand mixer years ago but after close to 15 years it busted. Since then I purchased some fairly inexpensive hand mixers which didn't even last a year. So here I am back with this brand to test its durability once again. I use my hand mixer all of the time in place of a stand mixer. Through numerous amounts of Christmas cookies, etc, I'm hoping this one lasts as long as the previous model. The silicone beaters are a game changer. They are so much easier to clean !!!! The snap-on case is also a lifesaver for keeping all the pieces together and not taking up a lot of space in my small appliance drawer.

This little mixer was priced right and delivery was as promised. Had to replace the one I had for several years. Love the solid beaters and all other accessories. Works great and storage is good so everything is all together

I have used a Hamilton Beach hand mixer most of my adult life. This mixer replaced an HB mixer I used regularly for more than 20 years without problem until it finally just died. I read all of the reviews on this mixer before AND after receiving this mixer and frankly, I just cannot believe all the negative things written! While I am sure there are those who had honest problems with the product they received (nothing is perfect 100% of the time), I am also sure there are some that caused the problems they complained about in their reviews. My experience with this mixer has been fantastic so far and I do not expect it to become any less. This mixer is high quality, with the finer qualities you expect from HB. Yes, the lowest speed may be a little higher than expected, but after the first time noticing this, you should be prepared and be able to take steps to avoid the "mess", such as a draped towel temporarily over the mixer until the powders are under control. Additionally, the first time using any mixer should be a learning experience and you shouldn' be caught surprised by anything happening. I haven't had a single problem mentioned by other reviewers, only because I take precautions against the mixer running the show. But also because I'm a firm believer of protecting my investment in items in which I invest my money and time. A lot of the bad reviews could have been easily avoided: Filthy and used mixers received? Ok, granted. However that is NOT an HB fault - that lies with the shipper/seller not inspecting their returns. Rusty beaters soon after use? I guarantee this typically occurs when the beaters are either ran through a dishwasher or soaked in a sink full of water for too long. Dishwasher safe? Really? Yes, they COULD be. But, they SHOULD NOT be. Beaters should be immediately rinsed after use, then hand washed, hand dried and placed somewhere to air dry, not stored until at least an hour later. If you've invested money in a product, protect your investment. Clamping rings broken. This happens when the beaters are forced into the mixer. When inserting the beater, you need to line up the notches inside the opening with the protusion on the stem of the beater. When the beater fits into the ring, push gently until you hear the soft snap. Take care of your mixer and it will serve you for years. I look forward to a very long relationship with my new Hamilton Beach mixer.

Very powerful for a hand held mixer. Lots of attachments. Comes with storage container for attachments. No need to look for them.

Bought for my wife. She says there is nothing wrong with it. Has lots of power and is intuitive to operate like her old one it replaced. She's on the fence with the dough hooks still. But she said they did work the one time she used them. She really likes the tote that holds all the bits together. She says 5 stars happy life

I was really wanting a solid 6 speed hand mixer, and I liked the idea of this one, with the extra attachments, and the container that fits right under the mixer, so everything is contained. But my problem is that there's no real low speed - it starts off way too fast for my liking, and there's not a lot of delineation between the speeds. It certainly gets the job done, but I wish it had a bit less acceleration off the hop.
