This brilliant book has everything you'll ever need or want to know about the background story of every Beatles song. It has great trivia and extremely interesting facts about how each album and song were recorded. Fabulous book about all the songs of the Fabulous Four.

It’s a very useful work of reference, and the factual information is comprehensive. I have occasional concerns about the opinion elements, but if you don’t let them get in the way, it’s a worthwhile companion to listening.

When listening to the Beatles, this is the one book by my side. I've got all the great Mark Lewisohn books as well as Ian MacDonald's Revolution in the head. The later I feel was good but a bit opinionated. I feel with this book 'All the Songs: The Story Behind Every Beatles Release' the authors have really listened to the music and given a more accurate discription of the instrumentation, recording and mixing of the music with less detail than Ian MacDonalds did. For example, when the authours attribute a bass line to anyone but Paul you can see/hear the difference in playing... even when a solo is attributed to John or Paul you can tell the authors know what they are talking about. With this book you can pick out the styles of the Beatles guitarist if you haven't already... I disagree with a previous reviewer about the pictures which I feel go with the flow of the book. If you have this book and Mark Lewishohn's, then you kinda have what you need for a great Beatles lock oneself away readaton... and of course PLEASE PLEASE ME to LET IT BE lps with the PAST Masters playing close by so...1, 2, 3, 4 well she was just seventeen...............

Wonderful book, presented and set out - excellent price and introduction in some ways for the fan at the start of their interest in the Beatles. As per other reviews it is a really a "cut and paste" job from other books and respected Beatles experts but if you view in this light then does what the title says. In fairness the best authors on the Beatles are Mark Lewisohn, Ian MacDonald, Kevin Howlett, Allan ? George Martin worth checking those out as well.

Bought as a birthday present for my husband, he has been delighted with this book. We were both surprised at its size and weight. It arrived well packaged and in very good order. My husband is engrossed with by the history of the songs whilst listening to them on his headphones. Well worth the money for Beatles fans.

Und meine eigenen Geschichten natürlich.

As a huge beatles fan, i am beyond thrilled to know all about the production of their music! The book was new and came in perfect condition. An absolute steal too for only $40+!

Descriptions of the musicians for each song give just the basic; who played lead, drums etc. I want to know which specific guitars and amps etc. were used. In the descriptions there are numerous factual errors and inaccuracies. I don't expect to have huge complete stories but at least they could have gotten their facts straight. So then how can I believe the stories that I don't know the facts for? All the stories sound reasonable and have some truth to them but Beatles fans need more.

Excellent Book! Every song is well researched. I've been a Beatles fan all my life and I thought there was nothing new to know. This book proved me wrong!
