Its partially effective. Does the job but no miracle. The fact that you have to let it rest/activate in your toilet tank for an extended period of time is a huge problem if you only have one bathroom. Also, each packet is contained in an unmark pouch. The box is labeled but not the individual dozes. So apparently safe for your septic tank but not so for your family.

Plain & simple, in my case I didn't get the results I was expecting. That said, and to be fair, this product may work fine for you.

Used the product and immediately had trouble with fill valve. Plumber came and had to replace the entire back working components. I showed him what I used and he stated to never put cleaning agent in the tank. He also stated that bleach in these cleaners voids the warranty because they deteriorate the moving parts in the toilet

If your toilet is emptying slow due to hard water/calcium build up, this may help you. I bought this for my slow draining and easily clogged toilet to see if it might help. I was surprised at how much faster the water empties from the bowl now, with NO clogging (to date, just treated a few days ago). I added 2 packets to the tank, and one to the bowl and let sit for 12 hours with occasional bowl brush use to help coat the water outlets on top of bowl. I noticed much of the calcium that was sticking to the outlet in the bowl was now partially dissolved in the water. I was told by a plumber that I needed a new toilet, now this may not be the case for a while longer.

We used the Vacplus Toilet Tank Cleaner on a toilet in a property that has well water. After letting it set for 24 hours, it seemed to work as advertised—helping remove build-up and keeping things cleaner. That said, due to the nature of well water, I think this will likely need to be a once-a-month routine to prevent mineral build-up from continuing. Overall, it’s effective, but ongoing maintenance is probably necessary.
