Sharp blades, cut everything.
These blades live up to their rating. I use them when I need to cut limbs, small trees, etc. but don't want to haul out my chain saw. These blades and a cordless recip saw are a great combo for yard work.

An Unusual Solution to A Difficult Problem!
Never plant oak trees close to sidewalks, driveways or pavers! We bought a home that was surrounded by mature oak trees that provided a shady and somewhat isolating effect in an older development. Hard to find on a corner lot. But those mature oaks came with two major problems. While they provide shade and a cozy atmosphere, they also framed the 20 year old house well, creating barriers to noise, nosey neighbors and neighborhood traffic. The problems that came with these oak trees is that it starts raining oak leaves in October and doesn't stop until March, just in time for our Magnolias to start dropping their leaves. So if you don't want to rake your yard 6-7 months of the year, don't make the same mistake that we did. Mature trees also filter sunlight and make it more difficult to establish a bright and healthy landscape. If that's important to you, study up on it or hire a qualifed expert to do it for you. Plants are mostly finicky and expensive. Taking proper care of them can be really difficult. The second problem with mature oaks are the large and intrusive root system that each one has. It may not be obvious at first, but when your driveway starts to buckle, your sidewalks begin to crack and your pavers start popping up, you'll realize that you have a big problem. The easiest ones to push up are the individual pavers, resulting in an uneven surface for walking or biking. The solution is to cut the offending roots where they enter the paved area. I found out that the standard way of handling this is to have someone dig around these large roots and then use a (powerful) chainsaw to cut them into sections and pry them out of the ground. The problems with this method are two-fold: these roots are as hard as rock and a chainsaw is dangerous to work with. I'll never forget the lumberjack my Father and I rescued who was bleeding out from a chainsaw accident. (I'll be that he never forgot us either.) Chainsaws also have wider cuts and bind up easily with the dirt that surrounds the roots. So they don't last long before seizing or breaking. Enter my old friend the sawzall! I used cordless sawzalls when living in Southwest Florida to trim mangrove trees and Brazilian Peppers. in the wetland areas. Easy to handle, thin and sharp blades, and they don't jam up nearly as often as chainsaws. When you combine them with these EZARC Japanese blades, the work becomes easier, faster and safer. The thin blades (which hold their sharpened teeth well) will make your cuts deeper and quicker without binding up. This takes the difficulty out of removing those danged roots. Try it, you'll like it.

These blades are a great investment
These are great blades. I was thoroughly impressed at how well they cut through thick tree trunks. I would definitely recommend these. We'll worth the cost. It was cheaper than replacing my chainsaw and just as effective.

Tree limb cutting blades
Cuts tree branches like butter. Excellent blades to always keep on the shelf. Good value.

stayed sharp... fast cutter.
purchased the 12 inch for some light saw work around the farm. while not as fast as a stihl chain saw, mounted to a dewalt sawzall, it does as nice job on wrist size limbs or smaller. it will tackle larger stuff but it takes a min. blades stayed quite sharp throught the day of brush and limb work. overall, impressed. i think anything longer would wobble/vibrate far too much in the limbs this blade can handle. and finally, is the curved blade better than a straight? who know. and probably not. the cut about the same. That said, I would probably buy the straight blades from AZARC for next time, simply for ease of storage.

Easy cutting
These thing cut through a 10 inch oak trunk fairly easy. I thought I needed a chainsaw and chose to order the 3 pack of these to try them out and not have another specialty tool taking up space. I had a reciprocating saw already so why not just try out the blades. Man I'm glad I went this route. Ideally they're used for pruning but can in fact go through the main trunk just as easy. This tree had dried out for a little over a year and was already hard wood.

Absolutely brilliant blades that sliced through branches of an apple tree like butter. Didn't realise that the quality of the blades mattered that much as much as the quality of the recip saw! The most difficult wood to cut is green wood off a live tree and these are the real 'McCoy'! The curved shape seems to help in speeding up the cut as well as accessing specific branches, when they're all bunched up close together. Other blades seemed to get jammed with sap, green wood strands and would have to be removed, wiped clean, the open cut on the branch be widened by pulling down on the branch, before the blade could resume cutting. These have no such issue. I didn't have to yank the blade and the recip saw along the vertical axis to 'un-jam' it, nor did I have any issues of sap filling and jamming the teeth. Even after cutting roughly 50 branches of various widths, the blade is as sharp as when 1st used! Remember to clean the blades after each usage and remove all sap (with an appropriate chemical cleaner) and store dry. A bit on the expensive side but in my opinion, worth every penny. Highly recommended for green wood!
