DMT (Diamond Machining Technology) 2.5-in. DiaSharp Diamond Mini-Hone Sharpening Kit of Coarse, Fine, and Extra Fine Grit Sharpeners (D2K)

I have several diamond sharpeners from DMT and have been extremely impressed at their durability and the consistent results I get. These smaller more portable sharpeners are great for smaller knives and blades. I have used ceramic sharpeners for a long time until my eyes were opened to diamond sharpeners. So far in my experience anything DMT sharpeners my blades faster and more consistently than anything I've tried.

These tools are incredible! I've been using them for many years to sharpen all sorts of blades. The most important thing is to use them correctly - like a file and not like a whetstone.

And I spent this rainy afternoon hunting down every dull knife, bit and pair of scissors I own to get them working again. I don't know if I'd try to sharpen a really high end knife myself, but that's my lack of experience, not the files. For the tools I own and how I use them, these files seem to do the job. Time will tell, I suppose.

Diamond consentration is very less. Not sure about tye longvity 9f product. Any how trust about the brand DMT.

Finally did the research, bought this superior product & sharpened my Florian ratchet pruners. Why didn't I do this sooner? Super easy to use, unlike I initially thought, & customer service I contacted via their website was super quick to respond to my questions. Some great older YouTube videos by DMT show detailed method to sharpen too. HIGHLY recommend.

I bought these diamond hones to use for sharping my kitchen knives. I have sharpening stones but these work faster. I use the coarse diamond hone to shape the bevel, and the finer hones to put a nice smooth edge on a knife. I find these faster than using my sharpening stones. Additionally, I use water on the stones and these diamond hones are used dry, which is nice in certain environments.

They are easy to use for touch up sharpening the lathe tools I use.

I can't say any of the DMT stuff is value for money - it's just so expensive. However, is is super-effective. These little hones are not particularly robust, but with light pressure they should last and they do give you a good edge quickly. No trouble sorting out the garden shears (planning to shave with them next week after they've dulled down a bit...).

Works as advertised.

Great to give a quick touch-up to all of your chisels.Makes them just a bit sharper.
