Nothing will pay dividends as far a safety goes like this. It like having and extra set of hands I the shop. Allowing you to focus on you work as most importantly the saw blade. With this you won’t have to worry about falling wood you can then turn off the saw and make sure everything is safe. This would be a great addition to a planer, table saw, chop saw, or miter saw. As for the quality it’s not the very best, but it works and it works well. It’s extremely easy to adjust and reach level with whatever tool you are using it with. I saw a few post about the handle breaking and being a weak point of this product. I think that design has been fixed. The red handle to adjust height seems to be one of the strongest aspects of this. Finally it stores great. For those of you who have a small wood shop like me (two car garage), this folds up a d stores away. I would buy again. I hope this is helpful.

The red handle to tighten the bolt for the height adjustment is made of plastic. The molded part around the bolt head stripped clean on the second time I adjusted the height. I used a multi tool to cut the plastic handle off — you can see where the bolt head stripped on the inside. I have been using some vise grips as the handle. Also, there is another review complaining about bolts being too short... the reviewer had the picture going the wrong way. My set of instructions were correct and showed the bolt going through the foot in the opposite direction. I think that reviewer didn’t read the directions.

5 stars for the company and for the product. I purchased this roller stand about 6 months ago and used it 2-3 times perhaps when I had a problem with the adjustment handle. I emailed their customer service on a Saturday night to let them know about the issue and to request warranty service. Within 3 hours I had a response from Protocol's national sales manager with an apology and a promise to promptly replace the damaged roller. Less than a week later I received the replacement. Now that's real service and it's greatly appreciated. As for the product, it seems sturdy enough for supporting lumber on my miter saw or table saw. The roller is smooth and rolls easily. Height adjustments are quick and simple. If the replacement has any problems I'll update this review, but so far so good.

A useful product to aid a miter saw cutting very long pieces; I found that it needs both hands and a foot to set it finely where you want it, as many flowing parts as it has. Perhaps, having leg locks and a ratcheting ‘arm’ would make it more readily adjustable.
