I’m really impressed with this filter! It has great water flow and does an excellent job keeping my aquarium water clean and clear. It was easy to set up, runs quietly, and the 400 GPH flow provides plenty of circulation for my tank. The UV feature is a great bonus and gives me extra peace of mind when it comes to maintaining clear, healthy-looking water. Overall, it feels well-made and performs exactly as I hoped. Definitely a great value for the price, and I would recommend it to other aquarium keepers! 🐠💧

I don’t usually write product reviews but I had to for this filter because I am so blown away by what it did for my tank. I was at a loss and trying all the chemicals, filters, and natural remedies that I could find to fix the algae overgrowth and smell in my tank. Frequent water changes, biomedia, a plecco, the works. I was about to give up and start a whole new tank but I decided to try this filter and it saved my tank in 48 hours. The water went from completely murky and green to crystal clear. The before and after pics that it shows are no joke. Here are mine. Literally taken 48 hours apart. I took my secondary sponge filter out & now only have this one. Recommend 100/10. It’s very strong though so I don’t recommend if you have fragile fish that need calm waters. I decided that mine will just need to learn to deal with the rapids because it works so well :) 45 gallon tank with 3 XL goldfish & a plecco but upgrading to a 60 gallon tank in about a month. Confident this filter will work there as well.

Really excellent. It cleared some stubborn algae from my tank in about a week, and got everything in balance. I am very very happy with it— the current is sometimes a bit strong for my tank (20 gal) but a really great product for the price. The attached photos were taken about a week apart.

I had this for a year and a half worked great but lately I felt like if wasn't working as well as it used to so I looked up to see if I needed to replace the bulb and it said 8 to 9 months I was well over that time and apparently there is a filter that needs to be cleaned too I missed that completely looking at the prices of the bulbs etc and the fact I never clean it I replaced the whole unit with the same unit now I know but I've been very happy with it I recommend it to everyone

8/7/26 update: Pump finally failed after about 15 months of using it around 10 hours a day (6am to 4pm). UV bulb and filter still good, so I just ordered a whole new assembly to replace the pump. Now I have a spare bulb and filter! This filter has been great at controlling the algae growth. I definitely recommend this for use. Would be great if you could just purchase a replacement pump head. I wanted to wait and see how effective this UV filter was before writing a review. My 10 gallon aquarium always had a very bad problem with algae growth. I could clean it, replace the water but the algae would come back in about 2 weeks just as bad as before. I even had a UV bulb that I had placed in my regular TopFin filter but it didn't seem to work at all. I purchased the TARRARIUM CTUV-H4F (for 10-45 Gallon) UV filter back in April. I put it in and left it on 24/7 for about 2 weeks until I couldn't see any algae in the aquarium at all. I'm pleasantly surprised to say that it's been about 2-1/2 months and I haven't had to turn on the filter again. It's still in the aquarium (just in case), but I'm shocked at how well it worked. The internal foam filter was actually still clean after use. I recommend using this along with a regular aquarium filter. I would highly recommend this UV filter to anyone who has algae problems. I wish I had a before and after picture to show the results, but believe me, it really worked that great! It was really worth the price and now I can spend more time enjoying looking at the aquarium instead of cleaning it.

Does what it’s supposed to do with ease! I had a significant bacterial bloom in my 20g nano reef tank that was getting out of hand. I knew I needed a UV on this system but was on the fence on which one to get. I took a gamble on this, even though I knew it wouldn’t fit in my AIO chambers. HOLY COW! Less than 72 hours after dropping it in the tank and plugging it in, water is Clear! This is not a high quality piece of gear, but it works for its intended purpose and is an extreme bargain over higher end UV systems. If you don’t intend to run UV all the time and need to remedy a current problem, I have no hesitation in recommending this. I have taken mine out for now as I hate having gear in the display area, but I’ll run it from time to time as/if needed

I brought this in May this year and the UV light stopped working and the regulator for water flow stopped working so I took it off. I like the filter I've brought it twice with the same results UV light stopped working it lasted longer the first time. I've messaged the owner to see if I can get a replacement bulb this something that they need to offer being that this seems to be a common issue.

Omg 😯 my tanks water has been green for awhile now. I’ve tried changing the filter. Changed the water twice and cleaning the tank walls and accessories. Also added Kloud Away and but the green water would keep coming back. It got so bad that I was scared my fish were going to die. I thought I might have to just redo the whole tank from scratch again with new stuff then I saw this product and was like huh 🤔 let me see if the UV light will help. I put it in last night (wish I would have taken a before picture because it was pretty bad you couldn’t see hardly anything in the tank) and I woke up to the clearest tank I’ve ever seen. I honestly didn’t think anything would work. Turned out way more clearer than I expected or even imagine. The water is even clearer than my other 2 tanks. Amazing!!! Recommend 100%

Did exactly what I needed it to. The tank went into a bloom while we were away and the house sitter wasn’t knowledgeable enough to deal with it. We got home on a Monday, this was delivered Wednesday and by Saturday with 1 25% water change it was crystal clear again. Now it’s off and ready for the next battle

THIS IS A REMARKABLE FILTER WITH A U-V LIGHT FOR AN AQUARIUM THAT IS HAVING TROUBLE WITH CLOUDY WATER. I WAS HAVING TROUBLE WITH BROWN ALGAE ( WHICH IS NOT A ALGAE AS SUCH ) AND WAS DESPERATE . I HAD TRIED EVERYTHING TO ALLEVIATE THIS PROBLEM SO I DECIDED TO TRY THIS FILTER AND THE RESULT HAS BEEN NOTHING SHORT OF MIRACULOUS. IT TOOK A COUPLE OF WEEKS AND I CLEANED THE FILTER ONCE, BUT NOW THE WATER IS SUPER CLEAR AND MY FISH ARE VERY HAPPY. I HAVE CAT FISH ONLY AND THEY CAN BE MESSY EATERS BUT THIS FILTER DOES A TREMENDOUS JOB. I DO A WATER CHANGE EVERY WEEKEND AND VACUUM THE GRAVEL AND I'M VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT. I AM ALSO NOT OVER FEEDING MY FISH . I EVEN NOW HAVE ANOTHER BABY CATFISH WHO IS HAPPILY SWIMMING AROUND IN MY CLEAR TANK ! GREAT PRODUCT .
