Coleman 5-Gallon Beverage Cooler, Blue

I read reviews saying this cooler leaked and was not worth the price. I beg to differ. This cooler was well worth the money spent but it will leak from the lid if not carried upright. I expect better from Coleman but I can live with that small issue.

After three days I was shocked to see there was still great ice and cold water in this cooler. Not sure how long it would have lasted but goodness I love this thing. It sat on a picnic table the whole time in the sun without issue, no dripping. It is easy enough for even our 5 year old to use. Very happy with this purchase!

My use for this was to use it for brining a turkey before frying it. Worked great for that! Was easy to clean afterwords too. I didn't want to go buy a larger cooler that I would just be storing somewhere in the garage taking up space. If I am using a cooler to brine a turkey in, that is all I am going to be using it for. This was just the right size for the 14lb bird and with about 5 pounds of ice in it, it kept the temperature at 35 degrees for the 8 hours it was in the brine. I set it outside overnight and the outside temp here in SoCal was down in the upper 40's to low 50's, so it kept it pretty well. The size of this cooler allowed me to place it up the rafter pace in my garage tied up by the handles for storage. Up and out of the way, ready to go for next year.

It was delivered a few days after it was supposed to be here. A lot of reviewers said that their spigot leaked. Mine does not. However, mine does leak from the lid when tipped over. So, buyer beware. I filled it up with some ice to the 1 gallon mark then filled it up to the 4 gallon mark. All of the ice was pretty much melted by the time I finished. I have it sitting on my back deck at the moment. I will post a follow up review stating how long it keeps the water cold/cool. Stay tuned. Ok, A week went by with no extra ice or water put in. Water is still cool. Feels good and tastes fine. The weather here has been in the upper 80s to 90s all week with it dipping down into the 60s-70s at night. Over all good buy. I do recommend this product.

I'm a youth pastor, so this is perfect for what I'm looking for. 2 reasons in particular... (1) Screw-top lid. If this falls over, it won't totally spill out. (2) The spout doesn't leak! Others that I have dripped all over my youth room. Great product! Seems very durable. I wasn't sure about the handles before I purchased, but I actually love the handles. There's plenty of room for my hand to fit. They seem very strong too. Good stuff here!

This jug is my everyday water dispenser, it has fallen several times from the shelf and it has not cracked yet. The nozzle doesn't leak either. I haven't tried anything warm in it, but it does hold ice great.

This is the perfect size for taking a beverage for a large crowd. It stays really cold because the ice doesn't melt fast. There have never been any leaks. The price beats any other I think. One of the ladies I work with liked it and wanted one now and she went and bought one and paid twice what she could have bought it here. I used to loan mine out but people liked it so well they didn't want to return it so now I give them the address and tell them to go buy their own.

got alot of compliments for this cooler. alot of the guests at my daughters birthday party really like that you pull on the spout to fill your cup, where alot of other coolers you gotta push the little button in. which is hard for some people to do. worked well for what i wanted and kept the kool-aid nice and cold, even when it was sitting in the sun for 3 hours of the party. love it! the handles are a little awkward if you have big hands but otherwise works fine to carry.

I really like how the lid screws on fairly securely, enough so that you can sit it in the trunk or backseat without worrying it’ll leak from the top. I probably wouldn’t trust laying it on its side for the entire trip though, but it could probably handle a few tumbles without spilling. It’s really one of the best things you can get for a camping trip! I loved having cool water easily accessible via the spout. Our spout hasn’t leaked so it was great. If anything, we might get a bigger size or get two of these. It’s always a good idea to have water on hand. We tried to conserve it just for drinking water but it was so handy to use for things like lightly rinsing your hands or utensils. Left it outside on our camping table and it endured the elements just fine. Great quality!
