Sharp, good heft, throws well
It's a bit of change from the classic wooden-handled tomahawk, but it throws well and survives all manner of impacts far better than its wooden-handled brethren. Plenty sharp, good balance, couldn't ask for more. May also be useful for a light-duty backpacking axe. Very good price to fun ratio.

I've wanted to throw hatchets since I was a kid
The Condor throwing hatchets have been a great backyard activity for me and my sons (9 and 12 y.o). They are sturdy and easy to use with no breakable parts. We got an cross section of a tree trunk for our target (much better than a sheet of plywood). The hatchets stick easily with a nice satisfying <THUNK>

Surprisingly strong and sharp!
Unlike many other low-price weapons, the Condor Throwing Axe has suprised me in how strong and sharp it is. I was able to easily and consistantly embed it in half-inch plywood by throwing it pointy-side first. This axe is strong, fun, and WELL worth the price!

Very Good 'Axe' for a Very Good Price!
First off this 'throwing' axe is nothing more than Condors Combat axe (CTK4010BC) with the wooden scales removed and NO SHEATH. The dimensions between the two are identical. If you are looking for an axe that is the same as this but with a sheath then pay a few more dollars and get the other. For those who have trouble visualizing the dimensions (I really didn't) this particular 'axe' is hatchet sized, so don't buy this thinking your getting a larger hawk type weapon. I plan on using this as my main camp hatchet. It has the classic Lagana shape and the relatively compact size does make it an ideal combat hawk in close quarters, hand to hand situations (if you think you'll ever find yourself in such a situation). Mine came very sharp, both the axe blade and the point edge. This is a very sturdy hawk and will stand up to abuse. Compared to some of the more expensive combat hawks, you can't go wrong with this baby. To give the handle enough dimension to grip comfortably, I double wrapped mine with 550 paracord. Of course, as with all HCS constructed blades, you need to keep the exposed metal oiled so it won't rust. Overall I am quite pleased with the axe and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, well balanced combat/throwing hawk/axe.Update: Per Condors customer service they DO NOT sell replacement sheaths. I actually purchased a Truckmans Axe sheathe (the head dimensions are similar) and will update this review if that sheath works for this axe.REAPEAT! IT DOES NOT COME WITH A SHEATH!

Bad*** Piece of Steel
Great item, ordered it and got it quickly. My friend, my girlfriends brother, and I all are getting into throwing knives & axes. This exceeded expectations and has held up great. Even kept its edge after landing on the cement patio several times. We started with an old wood pallet and one hit dead center split the pallet right in half. All around great purchase

Definitely met and even surpassed my expectations!
Simply a well made item, and for the money, was a very good buy overall :-)

Fair
I'm disappointed that there is no sheath for this, as it is almost identical to the Condor Tomahawk, sans, the handle scales. which would balance it out better.... I guess that is what the paracord wrap I'm putting on will do.
