Hypnia 12 inch Memory Foam Mattress, Single Size 3ft x 6ft3

I'd never brought a memory foam mattress thicker than 8" inches before. This time I thought I would buy a 12" inch mattress; I wasn't really sure I would feel the difference with buying a thicker mattress to be honest - but I couldn't have been more wrong! The quality of this mattress is evident as soon as it is unwrapped, the cotton cover is well stitched and thick, protecting the the memory foam underneath. Yes, there is a slight chemical smell, but this is always the case with any new memory foam mattress - if the mattress left to inflate in a ventilated room, the smell disappears quickly without issue. This mattress is so firm and comfortable, offering a lot of support in all the places that support is needed, ensuring a fantastic night's sleep. The mattress is also noticeably much deeper that lesser counterparts, and the extra support from those extra inches of foam is certainly worth paying a little more for in my opinion - you can feel the difference, and it is surprising just how much the mattress actually inflates. If you are thinking of buying a memory foam mattress for the first time, or are looking to upgrade to a thicker mattress, then I can't recommend the Hypnia brand enough!

Meh... It's been thrown away after not very long at all... Started to sag and become very unsupportive to my back causing much discomfort.

Bed was vacuum packed and expanded to advertised dimensions quite nicely... that's probably the most positive thing I can say about it. It stunk of chemicals (which is apparently normal for the first few days - however it's now more than a month since I bought it and I still have to wash my PJs almost daily because the smell sticks to them) and the first few nights of sleeping on it absolutely destroyed my back. I don't really recommend it unless you weigh 2 stone and can practically float on it.

started a ditch in the middle of the mattress after about 6 months. Wife has never been positive about mattress thickness and thinks the extra weight puts strain on bed. Bed seems to agree.

This is a fantastic product, super comfortable and gives great support to your whole body. I am very very impressed with it and so pleased I purchased one. I would never go back to sprung coil mattress. I fractured my back in two places so needed a bed that wouldn't "sink" in the middle that arched my back. This does the job and I have been sleeping sound since I got it. I paid the extra for the 12inch thick one and I'm glad I did. Get a Flat Sheet for the mattress base as a fitted one wont be big enough due to the height of the mattress . Moreover, the service and delivery of the product was spot on, can't fault it, wish more companies operated this way, so a big pat on the back there.Arrived the following day after placing the order!! I was told once that there are two good quality things you should always try to have in your life; one is a good pair of shoes and the other is a good bed; if you aren't in one you're normally in the other, sweet dreams!

At last, I get a decent night's sleep!!

I must admit, I had my doubts about memory foam after reading so many mixed reviews. I took the plunge and ordered a single mattress to replace my daughters ageing regular spring mattress. I have been greatly impressed by the quality, and I now wonder why I waited so long to move to memory foam. The support and comfort of this mattress is brilliant. The odour that you're warned about, only lasted a few hours or so - but wasn't really that offensive to start with. I've now gone on to order replacements for all the other beds in the house.
