Why does it say matched? Does this mean if one burns out you have to replace all four?

Matched means the four tubes are matched. If one burns out and you replace it you may need to adjust bias on tube. You use matched tubes so you do not need To adjust your amp when you replace tubes. Typically when one goes, the rest are soon to follow. So it is best to replace all 4

Not a matched pair.

These are not a proven matched pair. The Valves have never been out of their box since they left the factory. JJ claim 10% tolerance but that doesn’t make them a matched pair. Also- you should mark the box or valve with the reading so people know what they are fitting - this also indicates that they have been matched.
