I have legrand switches throughout my house, needed a dimmer for the pendant lights. Easy peasy.

This model does not have the little dial adjustment. I find that essential using a variety of lights. 80% of the time it needs adjustnent, sometimes a lot. Returned for the one I'm used to for a few dollars more.

I ordered 2 of these and unfortunately waited too long to install them. I tried the first one and noticed a burn mark on the hot (common) side. Insides were fried too since it did not work. Someone obviously fried it and returned it. I then tried the second one, it looked ok and turned the lights on. Unfortunately after a couple of minutes the lights went half dim at the highest setting. Turned it off, let it cool down (it was warm, not a good sign) and same thing, worked for 2 minutes then dimmed on its own. Gave up, trashed them and paid up for a Lutron which works perfect.

This switch is a bit more complicated than the on/off switches or rotary dimmers of old. The programmability is important and be sure you get it right before finally attaching the cover plate. I used this with 8 LED bulbs in a bathroom so having the low-end and high-end just right was important. This switch was able to handle it just fine. It will work with incandescent bulbs but these add up quickly to over the 150W max. It's really best used with dimmable LED bulbs.

I really like the design of this dimmer - instead of focusing on a huge rocker switch like others on the market with a small dimmer slider, this unit decided that the dimmer slider should be larger which makes it way more functional. The rocker switch is still plenty large so no loss of functionality there. Love things that are both functional and have good form, and this meets both. Nice to see manufacturers focusing on LED specific dimmers, instead of repurposing incandescent ones and making them LED compatible. I don't need a 600W LED dimmer (which most incandescent ones support), so this one is perfectly sized for LED use. I also like that unlike most dimmers on the market, this one does not come with pigtails off the unit. It is a standard switch with three screws (so it can be used for both 2 way and 3 way situations), and a ground pigtail. A nice touch is a QR code label on the unit for installation instructions in case you lose the included paper copy (they probably could save a few trees and not bother with the paper copy).
