Works perfectly, problems occur when your water has many minerals which over time fall out of solution and prevent the switching mechanism. This is difficult to clean, and I recommend a replacement .

This should have been a fantastic product, it was very easy to install. However, it doesn't properly fit on a garden hose even though it's 3/4" and the output side is 3/4" npt (pipe thread). This would be OK but the vales do not work if installed backwards. When I finally got it installed it never completely turns off. I was using this for a small 1/2 gallon chicken water tank and it is constantly overflowing. I figured it was a fluke and changed to the other valve (I got a 2 pack) and it's the exact same thing. I decreased the water pressure to a trickle, not and better, turned all the way up (city water) still won't turn completely off when full. It slows to a slow hiss like a bad toilet valve but won't turn off.

Simple to install! Work great! Great shut off! No leaks! A little bigger than I thought would be. Overall Great Product for the price.

Works great for my purposes. Has a nice for factor, I use them to connect to an RO system to fill various jugs and buckets for aquariums, easy to mount to custom bracket. I like that all moving parts are contained within the unit itself so a hose or cord can’t cause the float to become stuck and flood.

We've purchased a few of these Transparency Water Float Valves, after trying out the larger opaque ones. They work okay most of the time, but any dirt or algae plugs them up quickly. We use them in an aquaponics application so the water isn't the most pristine. Even so, we suspect that even with clean tap water the openings inside would get plugged with algae in a stock tank or other outdoor application. Our water is clean as far as particulates, and the float valves work without the inlet screen. We just have to take them apart and clean every three or four weeks. To be fair, the specifications encourage regular cleaning. The floats can get stuck on the bottom of the housing with a little algae growth. There are some little nubs that are presumably there to keep this from happening but they are too small. So we added a couple small star washers to help keep the float from sticking which helps. Just check these closely and rattle them a little if they stop the water from flowing.

Ideal for an easy connection to either hose or pipe. I use these connected to an automatic sprinkler system. Have used them for a number of years and will continue to buy them. I go away for months at a time and use these to ensure a proper water level is maintained in my pool and pond. My fish are glad I have them.

When I first opened the box, I immediately thought to myself, THIS is why it’s a good deal… regretting my purchase. Having no other option at the time & nothing to lose, I installed what looked like a colorful children’s toy of a float valve…. About half the size I expected & appearing very cheap. BOY WAS I WRONG!!! This little 2-pack of float valves are a DEAL! It not only works good, it is 5 times faster than the bigger clunky float valve we had. It’s been installed now for a month & has worked flawlessly AND we still have a brand new spare!! Don’t waste your money on other big, clunky floats that cost 3 times as much. These little things work awesome! For reference~ we have a 500 gallon holding tank coming from our well. This thing works it’s butt off daily, all day long!!

Used it to automatically fil my espresso machine tank. It needs to be very vertical otherwise it may leak.
