Right out of the box, the build quality impressed me. The arm is made of durable materials that feel robust and reliable. Setting it up was straightforward, and it securely clamps onto my desk without any wobble or movement. One of the standout features is its compatibility. I've tested it with multiple microphones, including the Shure SM7B, Blue Yeti, and HyperX QuadCast, and it holds each one firmly without any issues. The adjustable scissor arm allows for smooth and precise positioning, making it easy to find the perfect angle whether I'm recording vocals, streaming, or podcasting. Honestly I would buy this even if it was double the price, it's a perfectly fine working mic arm that has borderline no assembly, just having to put a pole in a holder and then clamp it on your desk, its really flexible with it moving up down left and right for the main arm, and having left right and up down swivel for the mic holder itself, and despite how easy it is to adjust how you want it will always stay in place and doesn't fall over time. For only £18 this is an absolute steal and I recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap mic arm. Other side notes, the microphone I am using is from ZealSound and is also very good for its cheap price, aswell as fitting this arm perfectly, and the clamp that comes with the mic arm should fit all desks.

For the money, this item is good and does exactly what you need it to do. However it does look cheap and the coating makes the items look cheap and plastic like. Not the sturdy appearance I expected. Very easy to use. The tight clamp fits very sturdy to the desk in our podcast studio and wouldn’t move from position without quite a bit of force. It would suit any studio set up for mics and is robust. However it’s very static and it takes quite a while to set it into position for different heights screwing in and out the adjustments. I probably should have purchased something more moveable and easy to manipulate but in general a good item, just a bit of a faff to position especially in front of people when the studio is busy.

Good price and sturdy mic boom

Amazing product for the price, sturdy and well made. My one thing is the mount sometimes comes loose by itself so every now and again you have to tighten it. but for the price its a small inconvenience. Its a decent size so it doesn't get in the way and you can thread a cable through it for cable management

For the price, this is a very rigid, decent size microphone arm and it's material feels pretty good, it clamps to your desk pretty tightly and the cable management feels satisfying personall. My only issue was, and I say was because I returned this microphone arm due it not being low profile whatsoever and how you can only use it if it's above you, it is very easy to figure out how to put together without reading the manual which is expected. My specific shock mount was locked in place depending on the threads that it screws on, I could only change the position if I unscrewed it but then it would have been loose. Don't get me wrong it is a good mic arm but not for my situation or purpose due to not having maximum audio quality if it's not Infront of me so I opted in for the AK-55 which I hope suits me better.

Really nice and solid. Great quality and feels/looks very premium. I was pleasantly surprised just how solid it was. Very easy to put together secure to desk and to position. It comes with a range of adapters for different microphones but just ensure you buy the correct adapter to connect your mic fully. I use the hyperx quad cast and it's a great fit with an adapter. Great cable tidy clips that can be removed and cable can be stored nearly in a channel that runs through the arm. Highly recommended.

I’ve been using the Aokeo AK-48 Microphone Arm for a little while now, and I’m honestly surprised by how sturdy and reliable it is, especially considering the price. At first glance, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a more affordable mic arm, but this one really exceeded my expectations. Sturdy Build The arm itself feels solid—definitely not cheap or flimsy. It's made of metal, and even when I attach a heavier microphone to it, it holds up really well. No sagging or unwanted movement once it’s in position, which is a big deal when you want to keep your mic steady during recordings or live streams. Smooth Adjustability Adjusting the arm is super easy, too. It rotates smoothly and can be positioned at almost any angle I need, whether I’m sitting down, standing, or just shifting around. It's compact enough to fit nicely on my desk without taking up too much space but still offers a good range of movement. It’s great for podcasting, streaming, or even video calls. Cable Management is a Bonus One of the small but really useful features is the built-in cable management clips. I love this because it keeps everything neat—no more dangling cables getting in the way! I can keep my workspace looking tidy, which isn’t something you always find in budget mic arms. This feature alone makes it feel like a step up from other cheaper options I’ve tried.

As someone who’s been using the stand that came with my mic, I’ve noticed some terrible issues with the design. Specifically the point of rotation with the stand it off the desk and not in the center where you mount it. Leading to the stand breaking over time. This stand, does not do that. Not only is the rotation centered where you mounted it, the actual stand itself is a lot stronger and much more resilient then most others. Highly recommend. Setup was easy, and clamps are nice and have some protection to make sure your desk isn’t permanently ruined, like my last one did to my desk.

Do not buy unless you have the original adapter/adaptor for hyperx. Other boom arms come with one, this one doesn't.
