Amazing
I don't need 2TB of this for my windows but the speed and vast storage make my PC run very smoothly

Not much to say. Quick timings, easy to install in new build. Does what it should

Great as a boot/installation drive
Blazing fast speeds as expected from a PCIe 5.0 NVMe drive. Even then, it's one of the faster ones. It's noticeable when booting and saving loading data. If your playing video games the only difference you will really notice is saving and loading data. The drive does not improve of render speeds. However, games that support DirectStorage might see a slight noticeable improvement. Interested in to see it's longevity with the level of heat that it can get to. Great as a main drive, maybe not quite worth it if all you are using it for is install games.

Quality
Bought at a Great price, Crucial NVMe's will never let you down. Put them in every build I do, I do several builds a year. Only thing I will mention when using a 5th Gen, check your motherboard compatibility for 5th Gen also if it shares pcie lanes with the 16x gpu. If using the NVMe your gpu might only get 8x pcie lanes.

CRUCIAL T705 PCIe Gen5 NVMe M.2 SSD - Has Issues.
I had for 13 months and Windows 11 was on the drive and then I updated to 25H2 update and the pc wouldn't reboot and Windows warned (after the fact) to back up data.... their was now a major issue. Nothing I could do even after changing settings in bios. Once I removed the CRUCIAL T705 2TB I was able to reinstall a fresh copy of Windows on my SAMSUNG 990 PRO and then today 14 11 2025 I updated Windows 25H2. Their is definitely some issues with the CRUCIAL T705 so CRUCIAL must take note and fix these issues. I'll never install Windows 11 on a CRUCIAL SSD. Thankfully I was able to send back to Amazon under waranty and have a brand new rerplacement. Question now is will I replace back into pc as my third drive or just keep my two existing SAMSUNG drives and if I reinstall the CORSAIR I'll total 8TB which I don't really need yet.

Very fast, Needs its own heatsink
This Crucial T705D SSD really needs its own heatsink, and the Crucial heatsink is too tall to fit under the some Graphics Cards. Without a heatsink you can experience thermal throttling this slows the SSD down due to its high temperature. Very fast NVMe M.2 SSD. Easy to install and setup.

Performs great, slots right in.
Great SSD, fast, easy to install, not too expensive.

Very fast performance – up to 14,500 MB/s read and 12,700 MB/s write PCIe 5.0 technology for next-generation high-speed storage Great for gaming and heavy workloads like video editing and large file transfers Reliable with a 5-year warranty Runs hot under heavy use, so good cooling is recommended More expensive than most PCIe 4.0 SSDs Overall: One of the fastest consumer SSDs, best for high-end PCs and enthusiasts. Got this on black Friday sale

Résultat, jugez par vous-même : - en lecture sudo dd if=/media/diskCrucial/testfile of=/dev/null bs=1M 20000+0 records in 20000+0 records out 20971520000 bytes (21 GB, 20 GiB) copied, 2.36906 s, 8.9 GB/s sudo hdparm -t /dev/nvme0n1 /dev/nvme0n1: Timing buffered disk reads: 21890 MB in 3.00 seconds = 7296.65 MB/sec - en écriture sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/media/diskCrucial/testfile bs=1M count=20000 oflag=direct 20000+0 records in 20000+0 records out 20971520000 bytes (21 GB, 20 GiB) copied, 3.18476 s, 6.6 GB/s Donc, finalement, les performances affichées ne correspondent pas à ce que je mesure. Dommage.
