If you're looking for a ball valve, you've found one.
It's a ball valve. It does exactly what it is designed to do. When you turn it one way, fluid flows. When you turn it the other way, fluid does not flow. Hasn't started on fire yet, so that's a plus. Buy one.

Hard to turn the first time, but don't give up!
When I received this valve I tried and tried to get it to close and could not, so I contacted the seller about sending it back, and they got back to me VERY promptly with some tips to try first, and finally it budged! It's a nice looking, solid valve, and I imagine it will work fantastically for my purpose now that it's moving! Great service, I'm a happy camper!

Did I lose my valve to the freeze? The ball is filled with water?
I had a valve fail in the Texas freeze. So it was like 0 F for 4 days, intermittently. I thought it was all due to me and not getting the water drained properly. To get the valve out I had to get 4’ and 3’ pipe wrenches. So when I got to examine the ball and noticed it had a bulge, I was disappointed. As I shook it, you could hear a swooshing of liquid. I was definitely confused. So I stuck the ball in the freezer thinking no way they used water. Well. It froze. No swooshing. I don’t get it. Does the liquid help distribute the pressure on the ball surface? Is it water used as the fill? What is the temperature range I can use this valve?? The first picture is of the valve with frost after taking the ball out of freezer.

Excellent Price
This valve was significantly cheaper than local plumbing supply store and Home Depot. I was a bit skeptical when I was unable to turn the handle on the valve even after lubricating with WD-40 as per instructions from the seller. However once the valve was installed I was able to turn the handle with no problem and am very satisfied with the purchase. Would buy again if I ever need a 3 inch valve.

Nice Valve
This is better than I expected. They are used on suction lines to control pump selection. So far they work flawlessly. No leaks, hold pressure and draw down suctions with no problem.
